Trump badly wants interest rates cut. The latest BLS report shows a dismal jobs number. A September rate cut now looks likely.

I don’t trust Trump. I think the numbers are being massaged, but I have no evidence.

He took no part in creating any numbers.
 
It's the perfect storm. In the process of undoing multiple Biden's mistakes DOGE, expelling illegal immigrates, and Fed's stubborn refusal to lower rates are all hurting job prospects.
 
Trump ****s up everything except sticking more of your $$$$$$$$$$$ in his own pocket.

How does Trump know the numbers are "phony"? The BLS is part of the executive branch. If the data is being manipulated, it's going to benefit Trump, and these low numbers do benefit Trump, because now he gets his rate cut. I think this outrage by Trump is political theater.

Don't think so. The BLS revisions were actually more in line with the ADP numbers.

No, the economy is just slowing down.

You are giving Trump too much credit if you think he is able to mentally connect t bls data to interest rates. He’s not that smart or rational.
 
He has now. He has shown those who crunch the numbers that reports he doesn't like will be met with firings. That's a fact, not a conspiracy theory.

No, the CT is that he had the data manipulated, and then to cover his tracks he fires the head of the BLS.

He wants low numbers, because now he gets his interest rate cut in september.

Or that's what he wants us to think. The fact is, these job numbers are actually good for Trump, because now he gets his rate cut in september.

ADP reported payrolls increased 36,700 per month for the last three months.
BLS   reported payrolls increased 35,300 per month for the last three months.

How did Trump get ADP to falsify their data to so closely match the fake BLS numbers? :unsure:
