I dont know where we are with this caae any more.

There is a public enquiry and a review going on and her lawyers are calling for a pause in the public enquiry as the evidence is apparently so strong her convictions will be repealed.
Of course they would say that.

I dont see any harm in pausing the enquiry. She is safely locked up and the reasons for not pausing seem thin.

Its all a bit of a mess really.

I havent seen the new evidence but I know that the hospital was understaffed and under funded with a weak and ineffective senior management.

It will be interesting to see the evidence . The parents do not deserve less.

I think she's the scapegoat for a failed system no one wants to aknowledge. Better find someone and call her a murderer than admit the system killed those babies.

I do wonder if she is a scapegoat. Im not sure that it is systematic though.
We had our three kids under the same sysrem.
I think underfunding is a part of it. Lack of staff is another.

I agree. There is no evidence to suggest that very premature barely viable babies died from anything other than natural causes

Death seems to follow her around though.

Sometimes deaths happened when she wasn't on duty....If you cherrypick which deaths you investigate then it seems like death follows her.
If I was investigating an abnormal number of infant deaths I would look at patterns to determine who wasnt responsible.
That is the first step. at least. If someonesnt there it is difficult to argue they did it.
Further than that is police work.
I tend to swing both ways on this. Its a bit of a mess.
