I had a lot of fun playing Diablo II and purchased Diablo III but only played 30 hours or so. I'm thinking of going all in on Diablo IV:

Only on windows.

Though with the Microsoft buyout blocked, perhaps they will end up putting it out for Mac like most of their other games. Well, whatever, it's not like I'll have time to meaningfully play for a few/several years... once kiddo needs sufficiently less supervision.

Yeah. Comments from beta players have largely been positive. I played the hell out of D2 but D3 not so much.

This, Starfield and BG3 are definitely on my list of games this year.

I love the diablo series.
Diablo 2 was the best as it just had a great setting and I was a PC gamer back then when gaming pc's didn't cost a bloody fortune.

Modern graphics card prices for anything I'd consider as gaming quality are just unacceptable so I'm now a solid console gamer with both XSX and PS5 for less than the cost of just a half decent graphics card let alone the rest of a new PC build.

I getting Diablo 4 and played the beta which while ok just seemed a bit to much like Diablo 3.
That's not a bad thing just a bit disapointing after the years we've all waited for a new installment.

I would wait for a few weeks after release. Most of the new games released in recent times have been horribly broken.

Wait for the first set of patches and then re-evaluate.

Im really happy they are bringing back the druid. The druid and the necromancer were my two favorite classes in diablo 2. Ive been boycotting blizzard because of their rampant sexual abuse of employees though… i just cant support that.

Most Mac users run Windows, either with Bootcamp or natively. This shouldn't be too great of an imposition.

Are there microtransactions?
No.

Blizzard is charging near record prices for the game, and there are three levels that will give you different things, but there are no in game purchases. If you buy the $100 edition you get a set of wings and a special mount. If you buy the $89.99 version you get the mount but not the wings. The basic version is a whopping $79.99

Of course, tons of them. It's Actiblizzard.

No, there are no in-game purchases or transactions. Blizzard does not sell in-game items. All you have are the three versions that offer different perqs and of course the DLC that will be flooding in a year or so.

I have been loving Diablo 4. What a polished game with all the classic, crisp Blizzard goodness.
