DeSantis signs bill defunding diversity, equity and inclusion programs at Florida universities

Great. Thank you for finally answering the question. Now, you want me to show where Florida has banned teaching this, right? No problem, here is the quote directly from the article:

"The law also says general education courses required for all students at a university “may not distort significant historical events or include a curriculum that teaches identity politics, violates, or is based on theories that systemic racism, sexism, oppression, and privilege are inherent in the institutions of the United States and were created to maintain social, political, and economic inequities.”

"Jim Crow laws", as Bullseye preferred them to be called, were laws of "systemic racism" that you have now agreed "were created to maintain social, political, and economic inequities.”. Under the law just signed by DeSantis, which I just cited above, this cannot be taught, according to the literal wording of the law.

So I have now proven my position. I'm sure you will happily acknowledge and show appreciation for me supporting my position.
Where does it say in your quote that slavery history is banned from being taught? Theres nothing there. And where is the link that teachers admit theyve been banned from teaching it?

Based on the way you hold on to an argument like a dog with a juicy bone, I would not want to be you. But you are entertaining.
As I said, it always helps when I'm correct.

You're now asking me to prove something that A) I never said and B) already showed how certain aspects of it could not be taught.

I'm not sure the last time I saw someone provide a post this dishonest, but it certainly has been some amount of time.

You asked me to prove that 'when creating curriculum in Florida, teachers cannot teach the "racist acts of several states acting independently" because those acts were intended to 'maintain social, political, and economic inequities'". That was how our discussion started. I've done that. Your refusal to admit that is exactly what I expected from you, but it is still disappointing.

Nope, you made a point that FL teachers are somehow banned from teaching slavery history, and now youre backtracking.

Since you now admit theyre not banned from teaching it, then how is this even an issue?

Please quote me where I said this.

I was very clear what I said:

So Florida law says that Florida schools can’t teach about how slavery of blacks (racism) was part and parcel of the founding documents of our country and inherent in the founding of our country. Can they still teach about the root causes of the Civil War? Or the problems that arose from its aftermath? Florida, where history gets literally whitewashed.

Nope, go back to my first reply to you in this thread. You tried to make it appear that FL was banning slavery history from being taught in schools.

I did. This is what you replied to:

Yes, when creating curriculum in Florida, teachers cannot teach the "racist acts of several states acting independently" because those acts were intended to "maintain social, political, and economic inequities". Thank you for finally admitting this.

Which is why I quoted it. I've been right and you've been wrong and I've proven it.
You tried to make it appear that FL was banning slavery history from being taught in schools.
This was your first post to me in this thread:

Please show me where I said what you are claiming.

Let's see...who does the elimination of diversity, equity and inclusion in college benefit?
Who does it benefit??? Everyone! Lets get back to actually educating people and not wasting time on bullshit like DEI!!!!

The opposite of diversity, equity, and inclusion is uniformity, inequity, and exclusion. The latter might as well be a fascist nation's motto. And you want THAT?

There is already diversity. Everyone is already equel and everyone is already included.

In practice, DEI actaully ends up being devide, exclude and indoctrinate......now THAT'S fascism!

Time to get back to education.
