'Deport Melania, her parents': Petition slams Trump's citizenship policy."

Is in the case of Melania and her parents, "Sauce for the goose..."?

Bringing this back up again since it us back it is back in the news. It seems online petitions are gaining momentum since all of this escalated.

Since Trump has gone on about a mother's mother having been born natively to qualify for citizenship automatically by birth, and Melania's mother was not born in the US, they are counting Baron among those that should be deported.

What do you think?

First, you are using a loaded poll, no thanks. Baron Trump is not considered an anchor baby because one parent is already an American citizen.

Oh dear... do you think anyone expected MAGA to be consistent with its own bullshit and not come up with some kind of excuse about how the evil it loves to see inflicted on brown people shouldn't be inflicted on their own, 'cause reasons?

Apparnetly you misunderstood the issue. It has nothing to do with Baron being an anchor baby or not. Trump stated a child's citizenship should NOT be based solely on the birth of the Mother in the US but that the Mother's Mother should be the point of origin for the decision.

So Trump is saying that to be considered a natural born by birthright citizen the child has to be a second generation American.

"Petition to deport Melania Trump picks up steam as Trump escalates mass deportations."

This is step two.

First, Trump will sign an executive order stating that prenuptual contracts are null and void if an alien signs them.

THEN he deports.

Wait until after the midterms.

Trump was born in Kenya. Deport him.

Where's his birth certificate?

Would need to see a source other than Maxine Waters on the lagitimacy on that. According to Trump, at least one parent needs to be a citizen or lawful permanent resident. That’s what he campaigned on.

“Trump’s campaign website states that, to qualify as a citizen, any baby born after his executive order would need to have at least one parent who is a citizen or lawful permanent resident.”

According to your own source it is about Barron being an anchor baby.

“Melania's anchor baby, Baron, should be forced to leave as well because we know that his mother's mother was born in a different country.”

This isn't breaking news, or really news at all. It's also from a satire website.

If the petition from MoveOn and comments from Maxine Waters are real, they are pretty silly.

From the BS News website: “The Business Standard News is a satirical site designed to parody the 24-hour news cycle. The stories are outlandish, but reality is so strange nowadays they could be true.” (D. Van Zandt 2/8/2017)

That’s not the same outlet, just similar sounding names.

The link in media bias fact-check is http://bizstandardnews.com/

The link in the op is https://www.business-standard.com/.

Currently, I couldn’t find any source that supports Trumps “mother's mother was born in a different country statement.”

Please state source that confirms Trump said this.

I do see the website address is different. The name is exactly the same, and only one listed on media bias fact check, which is usually pretty good about listing even obscure outlets - unclear if there's a connection. Kind of a strange site in general if you look around it. But again - not news.

Sounds like a good out for Trump. She doesn't seem to like him much these days.

Bats eyes longingly at Justin. 💋

The names are similar but they’re not exactly the same.

One is just Business Standard, the other is Business Standard News ( BS News)

If you read your link it also says that Media bias fact-check last updated on May 15, 2023 and that the source is no longer online. As of 5/15/23 the satire site was no longer online.

From your link;
Updated: This source is no longer online.

Let's be honest, her path here was a dishonest one. She should be deported.

"“Let me remind y’all that Melania, the first lady — a model, and when I say model, I’m not talking about Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford or Naomi Campbell-level — applied for and was given an EB-1 visa.” Crockett then said that in order to obtain an EB-1 visa, also known as the “Einstein visa,” you’re supposed to have “some sort of significant achievement, like being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize or a Pulitzer,” she said, before listing off other examples of accolades. “Last time I checked, the first lady had none of those accolades under her belt,” Crockett said. “It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the math ain’t math-ing here.”

Deepak Sarma, an inaugural distinguished scholar in the public humanities at Case Western Reserve University, told HuffPost that Crockett’s remarks at Wednesday’s hearing were “merely pointing out the hypocrisy that is a fundamental part of the GOP/ MAGA’s position and platform....Interestingly it seems structurally like the belief in American exceptionalism, except here, exceptionalism is achieved by merely being born ‘white,’” they said. “Rules apply to others but not to the privileged.”"

The article I posted.

The article I posted.

Not acceptable. Based on a petition submitted by Democrats.

“Melania's anchor baby, Baron, should be forced to leave as well because we know that his mother's mother was born in a different country. That is part of the criteria that Trump is putting into place.”

I’ve already submitted evidence on his birthright citizenship requirements, being one would need to have at least one parent who is a citizen or lawful permanent resident.

I could find nowhere, that Trump mentions at least two generations out, a grandmother and a mother needing to be citizens.

Oh come on, the notion of deporting Melania is silly, but given Americans’ ornery nature, it’s a natural consequence of Trump’s years of trashing all kinds of immigrants
