Denmark summons US envoy after report of Americans carrying out influence operations in Greenland

43 Danes died in Afghanistan because America was attacked on 9/11.
This prove that the USA doesn't have allies. The USA can't be trusted, in any way.

While Canada and Denmark shows that disputes can be settled in a civilized maner.

Canadians and Danes also now stand together in boycotting American products.

Trump treats America’s allies like enemies and he treats America’s enemies like friends.

Trump serves the interests of our enemies.

Trump likes authoritarian leaders, especially if they lines his pocket.

Wait until he starts bombing Mexico

Which could be any day now. Meantime he says he won’t rule out taking military action to assume Greenland.

All this and more as he is begging for the Nobel Peace Prize.

MAGAs, y’all tell me Trump isn’t insane.

Of course Trump should get the Nobel price if you listen to the members of his Cabinet...

That Republicans in the Senate was fully aware what incompetent and dangerous leader Trump was and still they allowed him to fill his Cabinet with incompetent sycophants. Because the Republican Senators are also spineless sycophants

What is it about 'influence' that makes this evil, or different, or bad?
Obviously Denmark thought it was bad
This isn't how you treat allies, which is bad
Just more reason for other countries to hate us, which is bad

Spying on allies is normal. Everyone does it.

Destabilizing allies is not normal.

Strategically located is right. The Northwest Passage might soon be a route between Asia and Europe and Greenland and Alaska are at either end of it.
Watch for an announcement that the USA considers it to be 'international waters' where it passes through the narrows between Canadian islands.
A rational actor would ask Canada for a passage treaty.

We don't have any rational actors.

Have we ever had a President who treated our allies like shit on such a level before?
Woodrow Wilson. See "Mexican revolution, American influence on"

Be he was a shitneck in every category.

in the past, america did lots of things not to be proud of.
not sure if the kingdom of hawaii was technically an "ally" at the time, but it certainly wasn't an enemy, and we basically just took it over so that rich people could exploit it more easily.

Hawaii was more a case of "can we have plantations?" and Hawaii foolishly said yes.

Then the workers were treated as slaves. When people complained, we sent in the marines.

Teddy Roosevelt
Woodrow Wilson
we thought our country had gotten more mature and more moral since then.
apparently not, at least with trump in charge.

It was merely an answer to a question.
No timeline was required.

i didn't say it was required.
it was just an observation.
usually people want their country to be more mature and moral.
republicans seem to disagree with that concept

Democrats have done their fair share of damage as well. It's not an exclusive club

how have recent national democrats treated allies like trump is doing?

Yep, allies is a qualifier.
I do agree Trump is very damaging to our international interests. Hope Dems are strong enough to limit his power at midterms.

Wish Republicans had a spine but they don't
God they are such pathetic wimps
Hopefully Dems can do that but two years of chaos and stupidity will be bad

Obviously. Is the definition of bad given to us by others, in all cases?

I know in today's day and age, we let are feelings guide, when we should let the logical portion do so instead.

I don't see anything wrong with this, as I am 100% sure that all countries try to gain influence in other countries. I do grow tired of all the hate towards the US simply because we were stupid enough to allow idiots to run our political parties.

I thought Trump ended Voice of America?

Were they still broadcasting in Greenland?
