“Just finished a meeting with President Zelensky here in Washington. He confirmed that the Ukrainian people will not support a fake peace agreement where Putin gets everything he wants and there are no security arrangements for Ukraine,” Murphy’s office posted on X at 11:15 a.m. Friday.

He attached a picture of Zelensky at a conference table, with Murphy seated on the opposite side.

The mineral deal didn't contain any provisions about Ukrainian security and did nothing to address Ukrainian concerns. Trump just wanted a treaty to say he was getting his money back so he could parade it in front of the media.

I never thought that Democrats would be in such a state of disarray that they would overtly undermine peace negotiations because they're butthurt that Trump beat the pants off Kamala.

I gave them more credit than to knowingly sabotage war-ending discussions. My bad.

However, we now know that Democrats today are the party of war.

How was Trump going to exploit minerals without security? There was a side deal with Trumps idol Putin.

The real truth is this "deal" does nothing to protect Ukraine from Russia, requires Russia to adhere to very little, but enables Trump's goons to rape Ukraine of mineral rights. Zelenskyy with or without Democrats saw this shit show pro-Russia deal a mile away.

At this point I am convinced the only reason Zelenskyy showed up it to stand up to one bully in Trump as a means to show the world Trump is fronting for another bully in Putin.

It was clear from the video that Zelensky had no intention of ever signing the deal. He tried to ambush Trump and make his case for more war, but it failed.

There was no "deal," it was all a setup to bully Zelenskyy into signing something for transactional Trump that did *absolutely nothing* to prevent Russia from continually attacking Ukraine.
