Democrat politicians are howling about ICE and CBP officers keeping faces covered during operations to arrest illegals. The purpose is to protect the officers and their families from reprisals of criminal immigrants. As we just saw where and officer and companion were shot. So tell me this isn't a smart and needed tactic to protect officers.

They look like ****ing kidnappers is why. Does ICE *want* people fighting back and potentially killing agents? The public to join in defense of a third party who appears to be being kidnapped?

A bunch of these videos... man, if some people screeched up in a van and hopped out looking like that, I'd defend myself like my life was under imminent threat.

Of course authorities doing this kind of thing should be uniformed. They're not infiltrating some mafia. They're arresting people in public. They should be fully uniformed and recognizable. If they're ashamed of what they're doing, then they should probably just not do it.

Of course, we know why MAGA wants them disguised: to maximize the terroristic effect on brown people, whether they are citizens or not.

I suggest that if ICE is used for its purpose, that is, to protect Americans from foreign threats, and not used by to terrorize communities and families, masks would be uneccesary.

Well, because ICE is supposed to be law enforcement, and all other law enforcement in the country not only show their faces, but their badges and names are prominently displayed, and they often even employ body cams to record their encounters with the pubic, both for their own protection, and the protection of the pubic.

How do you not know this?

Criminals hide their faces. If ICE are not committing crimes, they need to expose their faces.
 
These are public servants, you cannot dox public servants. They are arresting folks at legal pot farms and home depots. They are in zero danger. They just don't want to be identified when the Trump regime is over and they face consequences for their unconstitutional actions.

The pot farm they raided in CA was legal. The state has billions of illegal pot farms. All of this is political. It's all unconstitutional.

You cite an article as evidence that officers need to be protected with disguises during ICE actions so they don't get doxxed and then attacked later in a "reprisal" by "criminal immigrants".

Your article repeatedly refers to the off duty CBP officer being shot in a botched robbery, not a reprisal that was planned because the officer was doxxed because his face wasn't covered during some prior CBP action.

Mora Nunez, who was wounded when the CBP agent returned fire during the alleged botched robbery, was cuffed when he showed up at a Bronx hospital afterward, authorities said. He and Aybar-Berroa were suspected of working together in the moped-riding robberies, including Saturday shortly before midnight during the ambush on the off-duty fed and his lady friend, sources said.​

Footage released by Homeland Security allegedly showed Mora Nunez hopping off the moped and approaching the agent before opening fire – striking the victim in the face and left forearm. The shooter then reeled back when the officer returned fire, the video showed.​

That shooting had nothing to do with the person being a CBP agent. So based on your premise, maybe all officers should be masked since the same threats exist for them.

You don’t think so? What are the odds that out of the millions of people in and around NYC the person the illegals target and shoot just happens to be a CBP agent?

This Democrat really doesn't care if faces are shown as long as agents of the Government properly identify themselves and their associated agency while performing legal and accepted practice operations when detaining and arresting illegal immigrants.

That is no different than being doxxed and murdered by any law enforcement, including judges and prosecutors. Police get shot all the time, too. Is there some special dispensation that ICE should be given to allow for cowardice? Why? It's a simple formula.

Mask = criminal
No mask = LEO
