Trump says he will nominate someone -- he says probably a woman -- sometime this coming week. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already vowed to ramrod it through the Senate, much to the outrage of Democrats and some Republicans. As you know, McConnell and co. blocked President Obama's nomination 11 months before his term ended, saying it was appropriate to wait for the next President. One thing's clear ... politics reigns over consistency.
If Trump gets his nominee confirmed, the Court would tilt right by a 6-3 margin, affecting everything from abortion to immigration, from health care to all issues of equality.
Some Dems have already vowed to increase the number of justices if Trump gets his way.
Why does dems hate democracy when it not goes dems way?

I missed where in the quoted part it is that Democrats say they hate democracy.
After Byron White announced his retirement on March 19, 1993, Clinton began a weeks-long journey through consideration of an unusually large number of candidates. The name that came up that interested Clinton the most was that of New York Governor Mario Cuomo. Clinton offered White's seat first to Cuomo, who initially had told confidants that he was willing to take the seat, but then changed his mind and faxed Clinton a letter telling him that his duty to residents of his state was more important than his desire to serve on the court.
Clinton then considered a list of "firsts" for diversity purposes: David Tatel, a Washington lawyer who had served in the Carter Administration who would be the first blind justice; José A. Cabranes, a district court judge who would be the first Hispanic justice, and D.C. Circuit judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who, Stephanopoulos writes, "would be the first Jewish justice since Abe Fortas, and the first woman to be appointed by a Democrat. More important, she was a pioneer in the legal fight for women's rights—a female Thurgood Marshall."[7][8] In addition, Ginsburg was noted as moderate-to-conservative on criminal matters and had a different rationale for supporting Roe v. Wade than most liberals: she considered laws banning abortion a form of sex discrimination rather than a violation of privacy. Hatch told Clinton that he would support Ginsburg as well.[6]
At that point, however, Cuomo's oldest son who served as an official in the Clinton Administration, Andrew Cuomo, contacted Clinton's staff to inquire if the President had made a final decision yet. Mario Cuomo, his son said, believed that Clinton was about to name Breyer to the court and as a result thought that Clinton would not name two white males in a row. As such, the governor believed that his own chances were now or never. Clinton still was interested in nominating Cuomo, telling his staff that the governor "will sing the song of America. It'll be like watching Pavarotti at Christmas time." Clinton then interviewed Ginsburg, and then took a phone call from Cuomo, who backed out of consideration for a second time. The next day, on June 15, 1993, Clinton announced that he had chosen Ginsburg.[6] The Senate confirmed Ginsburg in a 96–3 vote on August 3, 1993.[10] Senators Jesse Helms (R-NC), Don Nickles (R-OK) and Bob Smith (R-NH) voted against the nomination. Donald Riegle (D-MI) did not vote.[10]
Everything is what it is. The House had the right to impeach Trump because they could and they did. It was the Senate's job to decide if Trump should be removed from office and they made their decision. In 2016 The Republicans were under no legal duty to confirm Obama's nominee. Now, Trump is president and he has the right to nominate someone to fill RGB's position and he can and the Senate has the right and the power to do whatever they decide with that opening on the court. The country is following the laws laid out to them. As you said, Democrats seem to want to change democracy from what it is in that they only want it to favor them. Why does dems hate democracy when it not goes dems way?

And that is why democrats dosen't like democracy and are hypocrites
Majority rule is even worse for minorities. Representative democracy is a much better system. The perfect system doesn't exist though, and as long as humans are involved, it doesn't matter who is in charge, the ruling class will continue to exploit the rest while playing them against each other, and people will continue to find ways to discriminate against each other.I surely wish and hope we have a true democracy one day, rule by minority is not working that well.
What? Do we still have a conspiracy theory forum? You've actually got it backwards. Democrats, with the help of the liberal media, are trying to destroy our democracy. It is beyond belief that some believe the GOP is interested in promoting or defending democracy. They hold power only because we are not a democracy. The left since the 60s has been the only political party defending and expanding democracy against the GOP. Today, the artifacts of our founding have resulted in an imbalance of power that will either destroy the nation one day or be the catalyst for sweeping reforms giving the people themselves more power. Its inevitable.

A democratically elected constitutional republic seems to be best we can come up with so far.
It is the Democrats who will do anything to abuse Democracy. They've been at it for four years now with a phony impeachment and many other abuses of their power to get Trump. Now Nancy is talking about impeaching again so that Trump can't carry out his Democratic duty of appointing a nominee to the Court and Democrats have also talked about if they regain power, increasing the number of seats on the Court that have been standard for decades and decades, in an attempt to twist Democracy to their liking.I do not think you know what democracy means or you would not make this claim. Let me break it down for you. One person, one vote. The most votes gets the power. The Senate is not democratic at all. The electoral college is not democratic either. Voter suppression is not democratic. Poll taxes hidden as fines due are undemocratic. The list goes on and on.
We don't have problems with "democracy". The US has a problem with enforcing its own ****ing laws because Americans are cowards and unable to act in their own defense out of fear of being called names and, oh my God, offending somebody by saying no, a-hole, you can't do that. They even came up with an excuse for the looters: "let them just vent". Unbelievable.I surely wish and hope we have a true democracy one day, rule by the minority is not working that well.

Not that the Euro weasels are any better.
For some reason the democrats think the President stops doing his job because it's a presidential election year. I must have missed that clause in the Constitution in Government class. The fact is Trump is President until Jan 20 and has every right to nominate someone for a Supreme Court position. To think the democrats would be doing any less is naive at best and totally insane at worst.. This is how the political ball bounces, and the democrats did the same thing when they passed ACA, they had control and they used it. To act like things ought to stop because of the election is ridiculous. Why does dems hate democracy when it not goes dems way?

Trump should pull that Pelosi ACA stunt - you have to pass it to see what's in it - and demand confirmation before he tells them who it is.For some reason the democrats think the President stops doing his job because it's a presidential election year.
