you might want to rtake few minutes to consider what the word 'hypocrisy' means.
it does not mean attempting to end a reprehensible practice that you have benefited from.

if the Democrats had condemned the Republicans for taking money from people they had themselves taken money from while attempting to preserve their right to take that money... THAT would be hypocrisy.

neither McCain nor Feingold was hyporcritical in proposing their bill though both had benefited from the practices the bill would have outlawed.

We were not hypocritical in convening the Geneva Convention even though it outlaws 'carpet bombing' of civilian populations which we did prior to the convention.

doesn't mean you can cast stones at the political party you do not belong to, but you might want to find a different insulting term to use.
