Huh? I don't understand your argument. Getting a degree is stupid because you accrue debt... is that your argument? I ask because I countered with, not getting a degree can be stupid because you make less money. So "It might be a stupid thing to do to not get a degree..." that doesn't pay?
No, getting a degree that doesn't make money with money you don't have (debt, especially if it's a lot) is stupid and doesn't reflect positively on the judgment of the person who did it even though they tick the often worshiped-by-the-left box of "educated."Huh? I don't understand your argument. Getting a degree is stupid because you accrue debt... is that your argument?

Nothing is guaranteed. Not getting a degree for fear of not making the money you hoped for is also a silly way to look at things. No, getting a degree that doesn't make money with money you don't have (debt, especially if it's a lot) is stupid and doesn't reflect positively on the judgment of the person who did it even though they tick the often worshiped-by-the-left box of "educated."
Cost-benefit analysis is silly?Nothing is guaranteed. Not getting a degree for fear of not making the money you hoped for is also a silly way to look at things.
I don't.Instead of hating on education and degrees,
The left's student debt whining already made my point for me.which is a strange argument, perhaps you should show the degrees that you are talking about, with statistics on how many degree holders are in debt after X amount of years and thos that are making money, etc. Thank you.
Cool. Post some of their arguments and explain why they are wrong. Thank you.The left's student debt whining already made my point for me.
Wrong about what?Cool. Post some of their arguments and explain why they are wrong. Thank you.
LOL... the one that has you up in arms about the Left's whining. Man, getting you to make a point with some evidence is difficult.Wrong about what?
What I mean is: whether the left's arguments about forgiving student debt are right or wrong is outside the scope of the topic. I referenced their existence to point out that many degrees don't yield salaries that justify their costs, not that their arguments asking for forgiveness are right or wrong.LOL... the one that has you up in arms about the Left's whining. Okay. How do you determine that many degrees, and specifically which ones, do not yield salaries that justify their costs? What I mean is: whether the left's arguments about forgiving student debt are right or wrong is outside the scope of the topic. Tuition typically varies by the institution providing the education and degrees, not by the degree itself, so I'm not sure your question makes sense.Okay. How do you determine that many degrees, and specifically which ones, do not yield salaries that justify their costs?
So, you have no real metric to conclude that people are whiningTuition typically varies by the institution providing the education and degrees, not by the degree itself, so I'm not sure your question makes sense.

during a rally for student debt cancellation in Washington, D. C.
When you look at the themes in all the left's posts here you start to realize that most have some very serious psychological issues. If you extrapolate this to the entire democratic party you start to realize that this is exactly what Identity Politics has exploited in the loyal base. The democrat party elites realized that a growing proportion of the country is borderline insane and grouped them into a voting demographic based around Identity and then targeted their weak minds to get their votes. Then they tried to expand that demographic through the educational system. Then through the MSM. We can forgive the base because of their psychological frailty, but what the DNC has done to expand this psychological manipulation can't be forgiven and needs to be severely punished going forward. You covered a lot of topics but I detect a theme in your posts about someone's education. You seem to think that those who attended a 4 year college are the only smart people in America and they should run everything because those in the trades are dumb. This is an elitist attitude and the reason your side lost. You are now the party of the snobbish college educated elitists who think you are better than all the rest.
The coup de grace by Trump to seal the deal was him wearing the garbage truck vest. That old the elitist snobs to take your college degrees and shove it where the sun don't shine.
Since it is easy to calculate perhaps somebody can make an argument about it?That should be easy for anyone to calculate. For example, it's like 10k to become a CPA, so you review how much a fresh CPA earns in the labor market and decide if that salary is worth spending the time and the 10k to become a CPA.
If you get a degree in lesbian dance theory, then it's your fault when you end up working at McDonald's for not doing your research ahead of time.
Glad to know that your argument is idiotic and that you can not even mount a basic logical reason about your fear.
Come on, the answer is simple. Democrats are morally and intellectually superior to you. If you had gone to college you would understand that. They are the elite and we are just Hillbilly MAGAts with third grade educations. We slave for them. When they tell you what to do, you respond "Yes Masser, please don't whip me, I'll be a good MAGAt. O' Lordy, Trouble So Hard..."The loans taken out by these students are not being cancelled, they are being transferred to the taxpayer.
Can someone explain to me why I should have to pay even one dime for someone else's student loan?

It's a crying shame that in a thread dedicated to a massive overgeneralization, democrats are smarter because they do more education, that no one was able to recognize the sarcasm and irony of an opposing overgeneralization. I even tried to make it over the top, yet it failed to call attention to the logical fault of the original premise. That is remarkably interesting in a forum overpopulated by intellectually superior mensa members. That's not true. What an overgeneralization!
The sarcasm is obvious but also hyperbolic and boring, which means people are going to scroll past it in many cases. All you will get is that people think you have a poor attitude.Speaking of sarcasm and irony, I think this video does a much better job. My guess the irony and sarcasm will be completely lost of the mensa crowd here.
No college degree, but vocational school is usually required if you are going to make that amount of money. Actually, a high school diploma, vocational school and period of apprenticeship which differs from state to state, but here in Maryland, that would be 4 years or 7500 hours logged.Being educated means having a degree in gender studies, being unemployed, and having $200,000 in student loan debt. On the other hand, a plumber making $100,000/yr with no debt and no college degree = dumb uneducated MAGAT oaf.

I used to post a lot more than I do now. I am working on my website more these days. I agree with everything you say.
