That wasn't my criticism. I've repeated the criticism so often in this thread even I'm tired of repeating it.

The guy lost his cool, made himself a spectacle, trivialized what he did, and is wringing every drop of attention he can get from it. If the guy had been a Republican Senator and the official he interrupted was a Democrat, I'd levy the exact same criticism.
 
I see him resisting officers, that's a good way for most people to get hauled off to jail. He's lucky Michael Byrd wasn't there, he'd have just shot him dead.

Violating a senator’s first amendment rights and false arrest. Every single one of those officers should have been fired immediately. Hope Padilla sues the shit of out of those officers and the federal government.

He tried interrupting a Press Conference and resisted being removed. Not a big deal. Not worth a lawsuit. Not worth firing people...
