Progressive governors are drastically cutting aid to people who need medical attention, and probably more. It's as though they're reconsidering the great strains Democrats have put on their own citizens, as though Republicans are right. Pick one:

A. Republicans are often right.
B. Democrat ideas = failure and decay.
C. Democrats champion fabrication and projection.
D. Consistent narrations aimed at Republicans, I'm ashamed of my Democrats. they are regressing; inhumane, and perhaps even racist.
E. A, B, and C.

Gov. Gavin Newsom's proposed budget includes scaling back Medi-Cal coverage for undocumented adults, freezing enrollment for new enrollees starting in 2026, and potentially adding a $100 monthly premium for those already enrolled, starting in 2027.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker's 2026 budget proposal includes ending a health insurance program for immigrants aged 42 to 64, known as Health Benefits for Immigrant Adults (HBIA). This program, which provided healthcare coverage to low-income, undocumented adults ineligible for Medicaid, is set to end on July 1, 2025

My understanding is it costs citizens more if people are denied healthcare and have to use the emergency room.

Medi-Cal is partially funded with federal funds, so this would be the same "limited circumstances" meaning nowhere near all of them.

Oh, good for him. Only I would sooner vote for an actual slavering MAGA Republican than Gavin Newsom, were I forced to choose. At least the slavering MAGA Republican is honest and actually believes in something.
 
And they are doing so because of the federal cuts Donnie is forcing on them.
If you see racism there it is coming from the Trump regime.

Indeed, as Harry Truman once pointed out, given the choice between a Republican and a fake Republican, they'll choose a Republican every time.
 
Turns out they've run out of other people's money and those people have often even fled the state to get away.

If you follow various sports forums and discussion you should see some of the talk right now about salaries in California vs say Oklahoma or Texas.

There is no SALT when it comes to salary caps and teams will need to offer $50 million in a state like California to get the same number of dollars in the pocket of an athlete that $38 million would give them in a lower tax state.

Obviously, many choose to vote for their perceived lesser of two (major party candidate) evils. After all, folks often see not voting for one of the ‘viable’ D/R candidates as being a wasted vote.

BTW, I view Trump as being far from honest, rational or consistent, but never felt compelled to vote for the D alternative (based on my mistrust of TrumpSpeak).

Shift toward sanity would be refreshing, but fruits of a poisoned tree. I'm holding out hope they flirt with normal by a next generation. Thing is, Europe is heavily poisoned by left news, it's often the only cable source in English, and where most Europeans learn English. A great % of Europeans strive to learn English.

If the Dem wins, things will certainly go back to the way the Dems like it.

But depending on which Republican wins, things may or may not go back to the way the Dems like it.
 
Leftists have long believed in this fairy tale that socialism works and that you can promise everything pay for everything and all the government services and benefits will be FFFFREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Which is stupid. Nothing is free. And once you have run out of credit and have taken everything you can from your citizens...you are still left with a massive ****ing hole. The best you can do at that point is try to shift the blame on something (or someone) other than your own stupidity and bad policy.
