Death penalty for raping young child?

Wonder how these two pieces of scum got into this country. Wonder if they came claiming asylum or just broke our law by jumping the border an then were allowed to remain.
Irrelevant in this case. Since it was a family sex crime, he’d have done it to his own child no matter where they lived.

At least he’ll get booked for both crimes.

I tend to think we should only use the death penalty as a deterrent, which entails that we apply it to the wrong crimes. People who commit murder or other violent crimes are not in their right mind when they commit those crimes, so the fact they might be executed for what they’re doing cannot be a deterrent.

On the other hand, if you have the death penalty against folks like Jeff Skilling, who knowingly ruined the lives of his workers, stealing their life savings to enrich himself…that’d be a deterrent.

As for what to do with someone like these two pieces of filth: we ought to make rooms underground that have no light, no furniture or features of any kind except for hard stone walls, floor, and ceiling, a heavy steal door with no openings, a hole in one corner for pee and poop, a faucet that continuously drips potable water, and a small chute that spits out a flavorless nutrient bar twice a day. It should be kept at a constant 65 degrees. We ought to strip them of their clothing, throw them in, explain to them that we are going to weld the door shut and not open it for 100 years. No one will come to see them. They will never talk to anyone ever again. It will be utterly dark, and the only thing they will ever hear is any sound they make, the only thing they will ever feel is the hard cold stone. And then we ought to close the door, weld it shut, and not open it for 100 years, no matter what. That’s about the worst fate I can think of-far worse than execution, IMO, and a few criminals (usually murderers but some rapists) merit such treatment. Assuming they’re found guilty, these guys do.

If the allegations are true and a jury convicts then I believe that the death penalty is well earned. How about it?

BREAKING: Two illegals arrested for gang-r<>ping a 7-year-old girl could face the de*th penalty

The father of the victim, Josue David Mendez-Sales, 26, and Pablo Neftaly Cobon-Mendez, 23, were arrested in West Palm Beach and charged with s*xual battery

Both suspects are originally from Guatemala

AG James Uthmeier said the State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit is expected to seek the de*th penalty

The victim told police that Cobon-Mendez molested her "every day."

Mendez-Sales admitted to s*xually abusing the child approximately five times over the past three months

He claimed he was intoxicated during each incident and could not remember the details

He also admitted to hitting the child with a belt

Both suspects are being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail

Can’t do it. In one of my least favorite SCOTUS decisions, Kennedy v Louisiana, they said no to this exact thing

I've long believed that rape should be a capital crime.

This article makes no sense. How could they face the death penalty if they've been charged with sexual battery??
