De Javu...I am feeling an eerie sense of dejavu

Anyone else have this eerie feeling?

YES. With Bernie Sanders, we're swinging from being a capitalist country to a socialist society. Trump will win if Bernie is the candidate.
 
An out of touch, arrogant party establishment being told to screw themselves by the voters? Yeah, kind of similar I guess.

Average workers are tired of the lame, corporatist status quo and the millionaire elites in both parties pushing to maintain it.

Yes it is. I am not sure if it is eerie or not. I personally thought Bernie would have done better than Clinton in the presidential election.

If this goes to the convention without a clear winner, oh man is that scenario going to look messy.

Honestly, the longer Bernie rallies the masses and collects the small donor dollars, the harder it is going to be for his followers to accept his second toppling. The question is, will they all sit home and pout?
 

If Sanders continues down this path and walks into the convention with a commanding lead of hundreds of delegates, yet still short of the 1,990 mark, what do you believe is the just thing to happen?

Nope. At least in 2016, republicans dropped like flies. These dems are superglued to each other.

Y'all don't have much to choose from. Even if the Democrat nominee wins the general, he's going to **** things up like a monkey **** fight at the zoo.

I'm not. As an ex-Republican, I held up hope almost until the bitter end that Trump would not be the nominee. But he was.

It's over. Bernie is the only one still in the race who can afford to go on. Sure, Bloomberg has money too, but Bernie's partner, Elizabeth Warren, took him out.

It's done. Donnie vs. Bernie, 2020. Donnie will win in a landslide.

People really need to toughen up.
 
I have no idea which way the actual general election will go no matter the nominee.
No one thought Trump would win. He's president.
Lots of folks saying no way Bernie will win. I guess we'll just have to see.
I just hope whoever the democratic nominee is they can try to unite the party and then the country. Not sure it's possible but who knows?

No we may switch from corporate socialism to actual citizens of the country receiving benefits from/for the country they pay into, fight and die for.

Really wasn't it March when it went down to like to 3 or 4 from something like 17.
 

I had a sinking feeling by April Trump would win the nomination and the presidency.
I did have hope he would at least try to keep his base corrupt instincts under cover, of course that wasn't to be.
Sad part is I think the guy actually believes his own propaganda. Problem is the vision is so short term its scary.

Numbers weren't on Trump's side until they were.

Trump will have a billion dollar war chest and a closet full of Bernie's skeletons to trot out every day. Bernie simply has not been vetted in a national election.

Absolutely, he should be given the nomination. If he gets the popular vote of the people and the party gives the nomination to anyone but him, it would be absolutely ugly. I personally could not imagine the snowflakes getting their pacifier pulled out of their mouth a second time in a row.

Why too much baggage to even begin to think Sanders could win in a General.

How many Independents and/or Democrats are going to vote for a self proclaimed socialist who wants open borders, free healthcare for illegals paid for by tax payers, decriminalization of illegals, 120 trillion dollar green new deals, and the elimination of all fossil fuels.

He isn't even a Democrat.

If you want an indication of Sanders having the slightest chance of winning an election all you have to do is watch the markets. If you see 3000-8000 point drops (and more) you can start cheering for Sanders.
 

True, anything is possible. I am still remembering waking up that morning, thought I was dreaming, was certain Hillary would be it. Surprise.
Bernie could win, but he would have to compromise and reach out to the middle. Not sure if he is willing.

Yes. In fact, it is identical. Get rid of the establishment. Get rid of the dynasties. Turn DC upside down. The more that person is attacked the more voters want to vote for that person. Blame the Russians for building up the candidate. And now we've got voters in the opposing party wanting to cross party lines in the primaries to vote for Bernie, so they can laugh hysterically at Bernie becoming the nominee.

Actually, odds makers around the world who do that for a living give Trump a good sized advantage. Many European leaders expect Trump to win. Now you could argue that it didn't turn out the way they predicted in 2016 but these experts don't just pick a name out of a hat to handicap races. They use data and apparently the data they are using favors Trump by a good margin.

3 states with fewer than 500,000 votes cast. Two Caucuses and one small state. If I was Liz, Pete or any of the others, I'd double down right now.
