Cuba's advantage in this area is partly a result of a high priority given to education. They have one of the oldest universities in the Americas and education at all levels is free.
Well I'm not a Communist and Capitalism is superior. But Cuba does excel at some things: vaccines and all-inclusive vacations 🏝I think the сubans deserve more sanctions for this shameless violation of propaganda efforts about the superiority of capitalism!
Then there is the real Cuban system, the one that ordinary people must use — and it is wretched. Testimony and documentation on the subject are vast. Hospitals and clinics are crumbling. Conditions are so unsanitary, patients may be better off at home, whatever home is. If they do have to go to the hospital, they must bring their own bedsheets, soap, towels, food, light bulbs — even toilet paper. And basic medications are scarce. …The equipment that doctors have to work with is either antiquated or nonexistent. Doctors have been known to reuse latex gloves — there is no choice. …So deplorable is the state of health care in Cuba that old-fashioned diseases are back with a vengeance. These include tuberculosis, leprosy, and typhoid fever. And dengue, another fever, is a particular menace.
This is the problem of liberals: they no longer have full believe in the institutions of capitalism, having been convinced in practice of their depravity.Well I'm not a Communist and Capitalism is superior.
What institutions would those be exactly? This is the problem of liberals: they no longer have full believe in the institutions of capitalism
Look up the liberal agenda and you'll cWhat institutions would those be exactly?
Why don't you just tell me what they are.Look up the liberal agenda and you'll c
Don't you know what liberals criticize capitalism for? Strange, for a man who calls himself a liberal...Why don't you just tell me what they are.
Gather round folks .
The Left are trotting out their 100% Fake News about the Cuban Health System . Again .
So let's look at what others find :-
But this terrible picture masks the wonderful things done for tourists and visiting gullibles and for general bogus news releases .
And who cares about real people as long as the party looks good ?
Never did it. In gratitude for the successful treatment, you could give a woman doctor perfume, candy, etc. For male doctors, a great gift is good alcoholuntil we learned that bribes were necessary to get decent treatment.
No we didn't.For example, we used to hear nice things about the old USSR's health system
NHS is sixth best in the world. And, yes, the British health system after World War Two WAS great until it started to buckle under increased demand that it could not meet.
No one has said that have they.So there is no reason to believe the unbelievable stories about how wonderful the Cuban health system is.
The best healthcare systems in the world are universal coverage single-payer.People being people, the best health system is one based on doctors & nurses & all health workers being paid good salaries by their patients (usually via insurance).
What are they again?Don't you know what liberals criticize capitalism for? Strange, for a man who calls himself a liberal...
Cuba has the world’s first lung cancer vaccine & HIV prevention pill + no more mother-child HIV transmission. Groundbreaking technology created under crippling 60 year trade embargo.
P.S. For information: after Chernobyl, Cuba was the only country, that accepted tens of thousands of affected children for treatment for free and never reminded Russia about it.
Why does Cuba, which is under a severe blockade, have several of its own vaccines, while Israel, for eхample, with a similar population size, has none? Maybe it's all about different philosophies of existence?
P.P.S. "Lord Hendy and 17 other British parliamentarians have nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize Cuban doctors who help millions of people cope with the coronavirus in 39 countries around the world"

I don't mind doing people's education, but for capitalists, I do it for money. Should I tell you the number of my bank account where you can send money for your training? What are they again?
You made a ludicrous claim that not only can you not cite evidence for, you can't even define.I don't mind doing people's education, but for capitalists, I do it for money. Should I tell you the number of my bank account where you can send money for your training?
HPV vaccine. Can I just point out there is no such thing as a "cancer vaccine"? Cancer is not a disease that can be vaccinated against because it is caused by the mutation and growth of your own cells, not a pathogen. Anything done that reduces the risks of developing a cancer would not be considered a vaccine. So with that said, I also doubt any other "groundbreaking" medical claims made in the same statement.
That's a vaccine against the human papillomavirus, not cancer. The human papillomavirus causes an infection that can cause cancer, but the HPV vaccine is not a cancer vaccine, it is a vaccine for a pathogen.HPV vaccine.
Agree with your comment but if it prevents cancer caused by HPV it serves the purpose and can be called a vaccine that prevents that specific cancer. In much the same way that HepB vaccine can prevent liver cancer caused by that pathogen. That's a vaccine against the human papillomavirus, not cancer. Lung cancer isn't caused by pathogens, so not sure what angle they're going for.Agree with your comment but if it prevents cancer caused by HPV it serves the purpose and can be called a vaccine that prevents that specific cancer. There is growing evidence that Chlamydophila Pneumonia can cause lung cancer.Lung cancer isn't caused by pathogens, so not sure what angle they're going for.
ETA: it's called the HPV vaccine, not the cervical cancer vaccine.
The point is, vaccines can only protect us from pathogens. The fact that some of those pathogens increase the risk for certain cancers doesn't make those vaccines cancer vaccines. I didn't see the press release saying they'd found a vaccine for Chlamydophila Pneumonia. In reading, I found it is also more strongly linked to asthma, endocarditis, atherosclerotic vascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sarcoidosis, reactive arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Calling a Chlamydophila Pneumonia vaccine, when one is developed, a "lung cancer" vaccine would be as erroneous as calling it an asthma vaccine. There is growing evidence that Chlamydophila Pneumonia can cause lung cancer.
That's an interesting article as some pathogens might prevent cancers.
No we didn't.
