Doesn't matter WHO wrote the request, a TOP LEVEL FBI official SIGNED the thing, verifying the document was truth.


My favorite comment so far was if attorneys and experienced agents could make the dozens of omissions, mistakes and procedural violation enumerated in the report WHY DO THEY STILL HAVE A JOB?

If the FBI defrauded the FISA court to spy on the Trump campaign of course there had to be no political bias. Is that Horowitz's conclusion?
 
The bottom line. No deep state conspiracy out to get Trump, and clearly the investigations were justified. I wonder what was said the other day when Donald met with his Russian campaign manager.

Yeah, I think a lot of folks that think this report is the end of the road are in far a large, unpleasant surprise. The LW media is spinning the report like crazy, but Horowitz, today and in the report, was clear of the limited scope of his investigation.

The issue most of the left are in orgiastic delight - that Horowitz didn't find any political motivation is a snow job. What he actually said is that he found no documentary or interview indication of political bias. Hello! Does anyone expect these folks to use emails, or memos or texts to discuss plotting against the president? Are they going to admit their plotting during an official interview.

that is absolutely NOT the bottom line. in fact the only conclusion i can come to after watching the Horowitz account today is that THAT opinion is deliberately misleading if given by anyone paying attention.

Uh, no, not no true at all. Horowitz only said he didn't find any documentary, e.g. texts, memos, emails etc proof. Nor did any of those that were interview ADMIT to plotting against Trump. These guys are slime and an embarrassment to the institutions they lead, but they ain't stupid.

Horowitz said the investigation was properly predicated based upon FBI standards.
He did not investigate whether it was justified.

From what I have gathered Clinesmith worked under Strzok. That isn't a low-level attorney. And according to the report, his text messages revealed him as part of the "Resistance".

I have not finished reading the Horowitz report. This report is one of the most tedious I have read and you can't ignore the footnotes/references as there are many. There's no damn way Comey or anyone else just hours after the report was released like Comey giving interviews and posting an op-ed in the WaPo claiming vindication. This report certainly did not vindicate him. In fact after the hearing today, if I were Comey, I would be hiring a team of lawyers because that SOB signed three of the FISA applications. Tonight I have no doubt Durham is going after those who lied to the FISC.

I sure as heck hope Carter Page sues the heck out of the government for the abuse they caused him.

Carter Page was not working for the Trump campaign when he was under FISA surveillance.
 

Because people who learn from their mistakes are less likely to make them again.

Does it seem like a political hit if they conducted an investigation on someone who does not work on a political campaign?

There wasn't any spying on the Trump campaign...the only FISA surveillance warrants were for Carter Page.

The FBI lawyer that forged a document didn't tell the FISA judges that Carter Page was allegedly an asset for the CIA. That was news to me, too.

So if Carter Page was a CIA asset and he worked for the Trump campaign then wouldn't that make him the real spy in the Trump campaign?

Why was Carter Page spied on with a fraudulent FISA warrant if it wasn't for his association with the Trump campaign? They've been caught people need to go to prison for this.
