What do typical American gun owners have in common with people on probation or parole for committing a violent crime? Both groups are arming themselves in self defense, new research indicates.
In the "Gun Control Mecca of America," the survey says: Chicago's criminal element ignore the laws in order to protect themselves. (The special bonus, of course, is the irony of a Michael Bloomberg funded pro-gun control news organization, in essence, saying "criminals don't obey the law.")
Actually criminals do carry guns to protect themselves, and enforce their power, and protect their "business". The problem is they aren't bankers and jewelers, they are drug dealers and hit men.
yep, I remember us (when I was with DOJ) telling a mope he was looking at several additional years because he was caught trafficking and a handgun. He shrugged and said-If you all catch me with a gun I get a few years. If THEY (other dealers) catch me WITHOUT a gun, I get a pine box in the ground
Has Obama released him, yet?

Well, there are a lot more, but you get the idea!

Anyone who doesn't see the irony in that is not paying attention.

Can't argue with that logic. You know, assuming giving up a life of crime is off the table.
once you get pass that choice, many are logical. I remember watching a 13 year old kid (his parents were GS-14 level government workers meaning a combined income close to 200K or more) who was part of a carjacking plan. we asked him why they did a carjacking and he told the FBI agent this
we only had one shell for the shotgun. You can't do no drive-by with one bullet, if you miss, the MFs might kill you. but a carjacking-you only need one bullet
amazing logic
