This shit is totally incomprehensible.

I have no clue what you're trying to prove other than you have too much time on your hands

Baby steps ----pick something you cannot comprehend and I'll try to mansplain it to you.

All state laws supersede any city policy. That's why people bring up state stats on crime.

Oh sure, right. Kind of like it's a federal crime to enter our borders illegally, while CITIES open to safe-spaces. I don't see State Police officers and State Mayors, you?

The "crime thing" is super important and I think you are fooling yourself it you don't think it will be an important election issue in upcoming elections. The Dems are very stupidly handing the issue to the GOP. They were idiots with the border and now they are repeating that same idiocy with crime.

I think the 2026 election is most likely heading to a Dem House win and somewhat favors a GOP Senate win. History is simply too consistent with lost House seats to assume the incumbent party won't lose House seats.

But 2028 is coming up and the Dems are being absolute (border style) idiots with the issue of crime, IMO.
I think you are the one fooling yourself. While it may be 7/24 "the sky is falling news" on Fox, overall crime is not rating high on voters lists of issues even amongst Republicans. The most important issues overall are the economy/inflation/tariffs and deportations and in both cases Trump is under water on approval. Now that may change but, as is normal for Trump, while his idea may be OK his execution of the idea is extremely unpopular. Americans are not happy with deployment the NG to cities. This is not shaping up as a winner issue for the GOP.

This is a recent poll but pretty much every poll reflects the same thing. Crime is not a top issue .

Oh look, it's the "State Crime" rant. Don't wanna look at cities because it's just too revealing.
Blue states have cities run by Democrats and less crime overall.
Red states have cities run by Democrats and more crime overall.

What the hell are you talking about?

Say what?

I didn't realize Ca., Or. and Wa. were red States.

WTF are you on about?

State laws supersede ALL city ordinances. This fact restricts city mayors on what they can change and how much they can alter the city culture in a state.

Do you disagree with that fact?

Good point!

It looks like the only difference is the state the mayors are operating in.

Ooooo, ahhhhhh! You really have me against the ropes, stuff just went RIGHT over my head, cuz you know, left are more educated and stuff....

I HONESTLY don't know why people even bother to respond to threads like this one.
YET, here I am. SUCKER

Threads like this are SO bogus it is laughable. You really showed me.

Righties pop on and simply regurgitate Fox Fed talking points. Look, it's Democrat run cities. I don't watch Fox News, your wild card defense, similar "RACIST".

Let's be clear I can't wait.

the U.S. has one of the highest incarceration rates of ANY country in the world, and THE highest of any First World Nation. How does that dispute the OP? It doesn't.

So whatever they are doing isn't working. I guess Democrats are gonna have to do better then huh?

Meanwhile - RED STATES have on average higher crime rates than BLUE states. To defend this, Righties go yeah but............. that is in Democrat run cities. SO, who is to blame for all this crime? No Rightie wants to explore that question. Cities is more precise than States, which is why liberals and their "scholars" want to talk about States instead, to skew the numbers. BTW, the criminal is to blame for the crime. Perhaps there would be less crime if folks like yourself didn't try and project responsibility, you think?

Must be all them black people. No, of course, no Rightie will say that out loud but we all know that is what they are thinking. Right, sure, we republicans think they're all black and are too scared to say so.

Meanwhile, Canada, Australia, most of Europe, many other countries, have LOWER crime rates and LOWER incarceration rates than the US. AND none of those countries have Democrat cities or Republican states. They're not the melting pot we are.

Maybe if those on the Right ever got a clue Still waiting for your clue, do share.

and realized what all THOSE countries are doing differently, maybe they would finally realize why crime is so high in the US. I guess we could start by controlling our borders for instance. After all, the countries with the most crime are south of our border. We should be more like UK and Spain huh? They experience more crime than the USA, but at least it's in Europe.

Instead they point fingers - must be illegals (though they commit crimes at a lower rate than American born folks do - look it up), must be inner-city folks, blah blah blah. Neat, undocumented commit less crime. What is the saying, you can take the black out of the ghetto but you cannot take the ghetto out of the black. That applies to all races.

Not to mention they skip over stats like this these: Neat, you wanna bring whites into it under "mass shootings". I guess we're supposed to deny blacks make up 13% of the population but commit far more than 13% of the crime, including over 50% of the murders.

Well, I gotta admit, that was one of the most defensive responses I have ever read.
As for.........
cuz you know, left are more educated and stuff....
and don't forget, less triggered in our responses. Cheers ;)

Big cities are generally run by Democrats because urbanites like their policies on things like public transportation, early childhood education and child care, social programs , environmental issue etc. Urbanites tend to be more highly educated and socially liberal which is generally a Democratic characteristic. Big cities have higher crime rates because they also have large areas of poverty, under served minority communities and less of a community social fabric

Crime really isn't a product of politics it's a product of poverty in densely populated areas....but hey let's blame it on the Dems because we are losing in every other area........including this one!

I've seen that poll question and answer in recent days, but I find it hysterical that you are posting it to make any point. You keep yammering daily about how Trump is supposedly trying to deflect attention from THE most important issue (the economy) and then you post a chart showing that the economy isn't even currently in first place according to either party. Sometimes you are simply too much fun. I certainly agree the economy is always very important in every presidency, but clearly, as seen by this chart here and as we saw in recent elections, so are other issues like the border, abortion and other topics, in any given election year.

This contradictory posting of yours reminds me of something you typed yesterday, "Voters tend to care about today more so than yesterday", as I watch you go on and on and on about J6, nearly every single day.

The contradictions of what you post from one comment to another or one day to the next, is very often laughable and entertaining. I suspect you don't even realize it in your active flurry of posts each day.

Again one is left to question either your reading comprehension or your veracity......what I said was that according to the poll quoted " The most important issues overall are the economy/inflation/tariffs AND deportations and in both cases Trump is under water on approval." At no time did I claim in this post that the economy was number one. Mind you when you look at most polling it is definitely the economy/inflation that tops issue amongst all voters but you stick with the 10% , according to these quoted poll, of Republicans who think crime is number one.

This contradictory posting of yours reminds me of something you typed yesterday, "Voters tend to care about today more so than yesterday", as I watch you go on and on and on about J6, nearly every single day.
Another swing and a miss in a weak attempt at a gotcha. I said voters tend to care more about today than yesterday when discussing issues important to voters. At no time have I ever suggested that the events of Jan 6th were something voters were concerned about in upcoming elections. Your habit of taking my posts out of context and couching them as something other than what I meant is obvious....but have at it...your preoccupation is flattering.

Kind of like opening the border - "more akin to purposeful than incompetent".

Kind of like the Biden administration......more akin to purposeful than incompetent. Nobody's that stoopid.

Do you disagree with that fact?

Sure do, because State and Local Govt have different responsibilities. Local is supposed to administer in accord with State law, but Local Govt. expands with regulations, police, protection, traffic, leniency, ordinances, jurisdiction, rules, etc. etc. etc. They are NOT the same, so why act like they are?
