LMAO.. So can't have the old man sitting in the chair next to a barrel anymore. Somehow, someone must see that as racist or something

These people are very misguided and I predict this will not end well for Cracker Barrel

---------------------------------------

"The soulless rebranding of the new Cracker Barrel logo has sparked backlash across various social media platforms among conservatives. The previous logo once featured an older gentleman in working-poor clothes, leaning on a wooden barrel, which historically held crackers and dry goods in general stores. In fact, the name "Cracker Barrel" comes from how people a century ago gathered around barrels in country stores to talk, eat crackers, and share stories. The greater understanding of the barrel is that it symbolizes community."

"Soulless rebranding" says some Russian hack on ZeroThought followed by some turd on twitter and their "take".

:ROFLMAO: OMG there are people who care that much?

Then again, just like a Karen to write the manager about a freaking logo.
In full disclosure, I also complained about them helping fund Nashville's PRIDE event.

I don't care about logos.

Cracker Barrel opened its first Reno location a couple years ago. It's right across the street from the Gold Dust West, where I usually eat when downtown.

Chicken fried steak and eggs is $12.99 at the Gold Dust. $16.89 at Cracker Barrel. A Meatloaf dinner - $13.99 vs $16.50, etc. The Gold Dust makes amazing bananas foster pancakes, french toast and waffles. $10.99. I always go back for breakfast.

There's nothing that interests me about CB, but maybe I'll give it a try someday.

Meh. You’re not missing anything. The draw is the kitschy atmosphere not the food. The branding change is a big mistake. Their new logo looks like a sign for Big Lots.

When I want to waste time writing letters that no one will read, I address them to Halle Berry.
Oh, they read them. That's why they change back to the old. Examples are John Deere, Target, Walmart etc.

Apparently people care about it enough that the company has lost 12% of its value and counting.
🤷‍♀️

Maybe this will be the end of them?

These chain restaurants tend to be trash anyway. I’d love to see them replaced by locally owned restaurants with better quality ingredients and better menus.

These mega chains are generally trash.
