Coup in Niger

But...but...but...you can't be a tankie because you don't sound like one! LOL.

The situation in West Africa so far:

America's biggest warmonger, Victoria Nuland, met with the military junta in Niger and threatened them

She told CNN that she met with Gen. Moussa Salaou Barmou, the self-proclaimed chief of defense, and three colonels supporting him for more than two hours for "extremely frank and at times quite difficult" conversations.

Africa has had enough of Western puppet Governments that serve the interests of Western Corporations who have continued to exploit #Africa at great expense to the majority of the people. People of #Niger want change and #EU + #US should leave Niger to its own people to sort out..

ECOWAS has announced they will be holding an “Extraordinary Summit” on Thursday, August 10th to discuss the ongoing Coup d'état in Niger and additional “diplomatic opportunities” to the end the crisis.

Sounds like Niger called their bluff and ECOWAS is now cornered.

When do black and brown people get agency of their own and become responsible for their own actions?

I read the article and watched the embeded video; I did not come across any use of racist language. The article faults the panel for pronuncing the "g" in Niger as a "g", instead of as a "j"; I am not sure how that is racist if it is a population that is not familiar with the pronunciation of Niger

What the article says:

Niger is correctly pronounced with the ‘j as in jump’ sound; pronouncing it with the ‘g as in green’ sound sounds like a well-known and highly offensive racist term – the same one practically banned in the USA and widely known throughout Russia.

In German "Niger" is pronounced to rhyme with "Tiger". And our Tiger sounds like "teega".

It is definitely NOT racist if you pronounce a country like you are used to do in your own language.
Unless the local pronounciation is a racist word. With Niger there is a risk for that.
