Could immigrants take 200% of our jobs?

That's why this upcoming debate is useless without a fact checker! Trump just says whatever he wants like a 5 year old trying to convince his mom he needs that candy bar at the register. It's ridiculous we even treat this guy like a legitimate candidate for office!

Neither, was there some sort of suggestion about the Irish there? The two things I know about god and the Irish, I got directly from an Irishman. God created whiskey to make sure the Irish never ran the world. I don't know if that's true or not?

Undocumented immigrants are going to take 300% of the jobs. I'm 100% sure of this.
Everything is bigger in Texas.. They have taken taken over 500% of the jobs here.. It’s so bad, my employer has given everyone in Texas 1,205 days off each year!

Of course they can. Those immigrants will steal everything. Twice.
They will steal everything, and then sneak back and nail it down where it was.

Then after their lunch breaks, they will return with prybars and take all our shit again.

No, just that the Irish were so hated when they first came here.

They'll take everything that is nailed down.

The Native Americans should have stopped the immigrants from coming in instead of bringing them food on Thanksgiving.

Silly Native Americans let a bunch of immigrants in and they broke 100% of the treaties 100% of the time. Then they broke the new treaties. ****ing immigrants.

Never let immigrants in or we'll all be forced to live on reservations.

The root problem is the people who should be working choose not to work and would rather live off goverment entitlements. The jobs that they should be doing are then given to the illegals that want to work. Cut off goverment entitlements and all these problems solve themselves.

I don't doubt Harris's ability to debate. She has debated before and held up pretty well. In fact she clobbered Biden in their very first debate back in 2019. She lost support after that because of how her gimmicky her campaign became, showing off pre-printed "That little girl was me" merch. It just smelled phony and voters were already souring on her when she was broadsided by Tulsi Gabbard in their follow-up. But she held her own against Mike "The Fly" Pence.

I kinda wished that she had accepted his withdrawal from the debate and done something else instead. I just think these debates are so tiresome...there's nothing of any nutritional value gained by watching them and they don't really bolster the campaign's efforts. I like the idea of sit-down interviews, panels, and town-halls better, preferably in front of favorable audiences but also some not-so-favorable once in a while.

Same! Town Halls are particularly good, with people asking them the questions we all want answers to. A joint town hall would replace a debate nicely.

Nonsense. You're tryng to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Is there cheating, yes. But it's nothing compared to the cheating among the upper classes.

U.S. wealth distribution Q1 2024

Published by Statista Research Department, Aug 21, 2024
In the first quarter of 2024, 67 percent of the total wealth in the United States was owned by the top 10 percent of earners. In comparison, the lowest 50 percent of earners only owned 2.5 percent of the total wealth.

The lowest 50 percent of residents have 2.5% of the wealth. What is the point of focusing on them? You can't get blood from a stone. You want lower taxes, reduced deficits and a safer society? Tax the wealthy. They have the money. The top 10% and especially the top 1% need to pony up.

Oh. The only way to get rich & wealthy is to cheat? What happened to working extremely hard, spending less than you make and investing the difference?
