If I could figure out how to link to it directly I would but if you click on the image of the post it comes up like it should be some kind of image file but won't give me the option to pull it down that way.
Just one more reason I can't ****ing stand twitter.
on edit: OK, now I see. You have to click on the post to see the whole thing.
And according to what she says there, you're right. She's not merely a witness - She's a victim.
And when she went to report that to the police, they arrested HER!!
I added the following to my previous post while you were posting
Well, victim or instigator. I don't think enough evidence has been presented to nail that one down either way.
Living in Dallas, I have seen a pattern lately of inner city youths coming to affluent areas to hang out. They need to stay in their own neighborhoods. Too often, they come to nice areas and fight each other, are rowdy, listen to rap music, etc. The cops actions were welcomed.
Gtfoh with that sanctomonious bullcrap. Those kids need to stay in their own neighborhoods where they belong.
In the real world, what happens since you can't just legally make those types leave, all the good and decent people who actually have money and are willing to spend it find somewhere else to go. Then property values in the area plummet, businesses close, and the neighborhood rots, while another one springs up that the "thugs" haven't found yet, where decent folks can hang out without being bothered.
These people are a cancer to any city.
There's no evidence that she instigated anything and it's pretty hypocritical to imply she's lying when your argument that she's not merely a victim depends on the truthfulness of her statement. You're actually arguing that her words are both true and false at the same time.
The cop didn't harm the two guys. He pulled out his gun, as two guys were coming aggressively at him from the side/back in a tense situation not under control. Those two guys ran off, he put his gun away. It's justified.
It's easy to talk when it isn't your pool or it isn't your neighborhood that's being overrun.
Some people live to get all sanctomonious until it's their house that is suddenly worth less money because the neighborhood is being overrun by thug kids, then reality sets in.
Cops are getting suspended for doing their jobs now.
Thanks a lot you ****ing liberals.
It would appear your opinion is wrong:Yea, because the ' children " ( it was a High school graduation party so 15-18 year olds ) have never heard horrible language like that...
Exept in their music, and around their friends, and on the Television and every Movie they've ever seen.
It would seem those that see the officer's actions justified, may have been in error:
He just resigned.

Well, maybe it's just the cynic in me but I generally don't take much of anything any 14 year old kid says at face value.

But you were happy to believe her when what she said supported your argument (that she was more than "merely a witness")
That's hypocritical
I lived in Dallas 20 years, I know too.
Not sure what you're getting at. My initial comment about her was that she was directly involved in the initial altercation, not just a bystander,
and that is likely why she ended up in cuffs.
I think all the recent heat along with prevalence of good citizens with video phones willing to film, is likely giving a lot of departments and individual officers reason to pause & consider their actions well.Good, now hopefully he doesn't go to Lucas, Frisco or Allen and get another job as a cop.

So as far as you're concerned his resignation is some kind of admission of guilt?
Just a guess on my part but the guy seems to have a flair for the dramatic and this resignation is likely more that than anything else.
The only evidence you have that she was directly involved in any fight was her statement. You used her statement as if it were true to prove a point.
And when I pointed it out it made the cops look even more stupid, you suddenly decided you can't trust what she says.
because when the victims of an assault go the police, they often end up detained and handcuffed :screwy
Then by all means good riddance. Cops with a "flair for the dramatic" is just what we need to purge. Don't you guys realize that as a society we want cops to keep the peace, show up to a situation that's escalating towards violence or disaster, and defuse it, de-escalate it, calm those that are acting dramatic. Not show up doing cartwheels, yelling and screaming, f-bombing everybody with a "flair of drama" about them, pulling guns and acting the fool, which is what we've all witnessed in this video?
Living in Texas for over 50 years, I can tell you that it is one racist state, especially around Plano, McKinney or Vidor. This should be evident in seeing all the racist here who see nothing wrong with this cops behavior.
