This along with the amounts of snow in the NE = potential ice age. That's how it starts.

Personally, I am very happy to have the ice there and not here.

I'm with you.

When Tucson starts looking like that I'm outta here!

Good morning, Lutherf. :2wave:

Well, Vesper and I have been trying to tell you guys we are freezing our tushes off here in Ohio! Now can we have a little pity, since it's official?! Sheesh! :lamo:

Good morning Lady P

Is that you out ice-fishing on Lake Erie?

Good morning, CJ. :2wave:

Yep, it makes life easier when you don't have to take the time to go to the freezer section at the grocery store and spend money to buy the frozen fish filets in the box - they're ready to go when you pull them out of the water! Life is good! :lamo: I wonder if those Polar Bear Club members are going to jump in the lake nude to celebrate Winter this year - they're all crazy, you know, bless their little hearts - but they do make headlines!

I blame Canada for spewing its thermal pollution across the borders. We should have UN sanctions against them for this act of diabolical treacheriness. It is a prelude to war.

Good morning Polgara :2wave:

Last week, it was 80 degrees and crystal clear in Southern California. It's the only reason I stay. I have real sympathy for you hearty folks who live in the snow/freeze belt. If it hadn't been for my extensive travel throughout the US in all seasons, I just might have been enticed to bail from LaLa land. But I'm afraid I have to admit to the power of my inner wussyness.

Greetings, Declan. :2wave:

:funny: Naw, they're just being neighborly by sharing and all - and unlike Mexico, we don't have to feed and take care of the weather for years.

Good morning, ocean515. :2wave:

I'm afraid I'm losing it - I can't remember what 80 degrees is! It's a mythical number, right? :lamo:

It's an act of mercy.

Obama and the weird are all worried about global warming?

Well, here's something that will cool you all off. And, it's about time you all learned to skate. How does anyone date in the winter time if you can't go skating together?

Meanwhile, I have awakened to a balmy 12 degree c with a high of 17....

Have a nice day all

Oh pollution from what? We drill the oil, you burn it

Morning CJ, speaking of ice-fishing....those fishing shacks sure have come a long way.

A far cry from grandpa's. His looked like a garden shed on wheels.

I'm sorry to inform you that it does exist. It's that mystical creature you picture with every shovel of snow and every scrape of ice off the windshield. It's where salt is only used to season food cooking on the backyard grill. It's where frozen food can only get that way in a refrigerator, rather than on the table in the back porch.

It will return to Ohio.

They probably won't. Icicles forming on your dangly parts isn't a good look.

No kidding!!

Ours was a 6' x 8' shed on a trailer with a small pot bellied stove in the corner.

I get a kick out of Lake Erie. It looks like the freezer in the fridge at my office!:lamo

Good morning Vesper. That looks more like a Winnebago than an ice-fishing hut!!

Did we lose territory to you are something? We still steal all your salmon and comedians

No, you didn't lose territory - we just burned down your White House and sent President Madison scrambling for his life. But we gave you a second chance and you've been well behaved since.

We did drop a nuclear bomb in one of your rivers.
