The number of states is totally irrelevent

You can win the Electoral College with only 15 states.

What is unConstitutional about the Electoral College making their best educated decision as to who is most qualified to run our country?

You need to buy yourself a copy of the US Constitution and actually read it.

I think it might be a mistake to stand in the way of those trying to change the minds of electors.

As the public is seeing, so of those doing some are threatening the electors with death if they don't change their vote.

While I recognize that is probably just a few extremists, it does represent the lengths some are willing to go.

What is truly important is for the public at large to see what they are dealing with, and how serious they should view these people.

In the long run, allowing the public to see what they are dealing with will make for a more engaged and aware public.

What will be very interesting is what we see when in January it turns out trump got less than 309 Electoral votes for President.

How will Republicans react to him winning only 275?

Iirc, the electors in 21 states can vote for whoever they want.

They would worry about that AFTER Trump is inaugurated. A win is still a win.

Regardless, I would guess Republicans will be hailing the 45th President of the United States.

I also imagine most citizens will be looking with eyes wide open at the actions of the losers since November 8, and further distancing themselves from the anger and division they represent.
