--Conservatives are more offended by rainbow flags than by confederate ones
Video @: Conservatives More Offended by Rainbow Flags Than Confederate Flags - YouTube
No matter what you think, the rainbow flag represents equality, and anti discrimination, and no matter what you think or what the origins of the Confederate flag is it represents a country that is based around slavery, and inequality, and hate groups, racists, and bigots use the Confederate flag to uphold their ideology. This is pretty disturbing in my opinion.
Lets get real. When people think of the Confederate flag we all know 98% see it as this
I was real, have been real all my life. I even pinched myself to make sure. What you showed was the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. Mine is hanging in the Living Room. It went with me to Thailand, then to Laos and on to Vietnam and back to Thailand. It went with me to Germany and returned to the states with me. What it means to you is something completely different to me. I am too darn old to give a hoot what it means to others.
Fair enough i guess

What does the Dukes of Hazzard have to do with gay people--well other than Enos maybe.
Cooter Davenport was a total queen.
I'm not sure why anyone would be offended by any flag. Is anyone here offended by the flags of countries who are deemed to be our "enemies"? I'm not. I couldn't care less about their flags. Imo, if you give a flag enough significance in your life to be offensive, you're spending way too much time trying to take offense.

You arent pissed by someone skinhead flying his Swatstika flag? Ill tell you straight out that pisses me off. But i will uphold his/her right to fly that flag.
No. I'm not pissed. I figure he's probably a bit of an idiot, and there's a high likelihood that he is probably a bit of an asshole, but offended? Why should I be?
Because that flag stand for imperialism, world domination, fascism, hatred, ignorance, totalitarianism, racism, bigotry, anti-semitism.

Then why is that never flown at a protest?
thats the confederate battle flag, not the confederate flag itself.
peristota shown one of the early confederate flags, the latle flag is very similiar to the battle flag you posted, but it wasnt used until late in the war as the confederate flag, plus practically every state had their own confederate flag, even northern states, however non sanctioned by the state govts.

Oh these stories pop up whenever a liberal mouthpiece screws up big time with people trying to pick up the battle flag for their fallen comrade Martin Bashir.
DemSocialist, I noticed your new avatar. Is that a Japanese Imperial soldier on Guadalcanal ?
i think i answered it above, because thats the acctual confederate flag, the flag people use is the confederate battle flag aka the rebel flag.
