There are very few places I have worked where coffee wasn't provided. I am not sure why this is supposed to be getting my dander up.
I work at a US Department of Energy facility (Fermilab) and free coffee has always been provided. The government also provides refreshments and souvenirs to facility tour groups. There are very few places I have worked where coffee wasn't provided. I've got some bad news for you. People outside of rabid Hannity and Beck fans aren't starting to hate unions. According to recent polls, a clear majority (60 - 70% depending on the poll) of Americans stand behind unions. .
And as far as this story goes, it's a non-issue. You act like the town was ordered to suddenly start giving free coffee to employees. According to your own source the board gave the priviliges back to the union after the board determined that the privilige was unjustly taken away by the town as retaliation for union members making unfavorable comments at a finance meeting
Supporting the existence of unions and hating them for becoming too greedy are two different things. I support the existence of unions., I however think many have gotten too damn greedy for their own good.
Whether or not the town provides coffee should only be up to the town.Employees are not not owed coffee.
Employers are required to not act in a retaliatory manner.
Employees have no legal right to have coffee provided by their employers.
Management operates the same way. Give as few benefits and as little pay as possible to maximize profits. Workers don't give a **** about the company? Who cares? Turnover? So what... easier to reduce salaries. Greed and selfishness defines both sides of the issue.
Management is held responsible by those who matter, the board and investors. The workers are expendable.

Most employers provide free caffeine for a self-serving reason... to hasten and enhance worker productivity.Employees have no legal right to have coffee provided by their employers.
Acidic sentiment such as this... is precisely where I part company with mainstream conservatism. The workers are expendable.

People are going to drink something in the morning to hydrate anyway, so they're going to whiz regardless. Why? It just makes them pee more, so it kind of evens out in the end.
Yes ma'am.You mean the American people provide free coffee, refreshments and souvenirs.
And if they agreed with your own views you would be touting them as gospel. But they don't so you attack them instead.
As Gomer Pyle used to say "surprise, surprise".
So the majority of the country does not matter. Gotcha. Suddenly a whole lot of your stances make sense to me when seen through that perspective.
So you agree with me. Greed and selfishness happens on both sides.
Balance Vicchio, balance must be needed.
Mistreating the protaleterian is not something i would suggest.
