Odd how The Outraged have FORGOTTEN THIS, HUH?
How many of the "Outraged Left" used tax dollars to PAY OFF THEIR ACCUSERS?
NONE From the CURRENT CONGRESS.
In the Fake News/Lying Left desperate attempt to "Create a Crime" out of an imaginary "Campaign Finance" offense , we notice THIS GETS ZERO ATTENTION....and they used OUR MONEY to DO IT:
Congress paid out $17 million in settlements. Here's why we know so little about that money.
(CNN) — Two things have become painfully clear on Capitol Hill this week: Lawmakers and staffers say sexual harassment is "rampant" -- but even members of Congress have no idea just how widespread the problem is.
The controversial and sensitive issue has taken center stage in Congress this week, with female lawmakers making fresh allegations of sexual harassment against unnamed members who are currently in office, and the unveiling of a new bill on Wednesday to change how sexual harassment complaints are reported and resolved. On Thursday, a woman shared her story of being groped and kissed without her consent by Sen. Al Franken in 2006.
CNN has also learned that during the current Congress, no settlement payment approval requests have been made to the congressional committee charged with approving them.
According to a report from the Office of Compliance, more than $17 million has been paid out in settlements over a period of 20 years -- 1997 to 2017.

And, somehow, many of these same SLEAZEBALLS remain in CONGRESS, and are now trying to "create a crime" for Trump making perfectly legal payments , OF HIS OWN MONEY, to shut up a couple of lying, blackmailing tramps.

Well, there was Blake Farenthold. Oh wait.....he's a republican.
There's Trey Gowdy. Oops, another republican.
Seriously though, are there folks on both sides of the isle using tax payer money for settlements? I wouldn't doubt it.
Got a link for Trey Gowdy? I don't think you are right about this.
Perhaps you have him confused with Trent Franks?

Not a sexual harassment but a wrongful termination claim.

The taxpayers paid to cover this up?

What does that have to do with Trump's payments to keep women quiet so he could win the election? That is the crime that Cohen got 3 years in jail for and it is the crime that should lead to Trump's impeachment and indictment.
Their hypocrisy is as thick as hasty pudding.
Cohen was just sentenced to 3 years in jail for his involvement in the "perfectly legal" payments made to defraud the voters during the election. Defrauding voters is a Federal crime.
What does that have to do with Trump's payments to keep women quiet so he could win the election? That is the crime that Cohen got 3 years in jail for and it is the crime that should lead to Trump's impeachment and indictment.
So then what does this all have to do with the premise of the thread?
We are talking about sexual harassment type charges covered up by a secret hush payment fund.
Perhaps one of these days liberals will learn to tell the truth.
Or perhaps not.
