The firing of Christopher Krebs has renewed concerns over how Trump will spend his final weeks in the White House.

There is a scenario that posits that without overwhelming pushback on the Krebs firing, Trump will be emboldened to move on Chris Wray and Gina Haspell.
 
Did Republicans suddenly become aware that a deal with Trump means precisely this kind of thing? One would think the turnover at the WH over the past 4 years made that pretty evident.
