Fed couldn't lower rate because that would acknowledge that Trump was right and we can't have that!!

Trump is wrong, wants rate lower to make it easier for the rich to plunder government.

Fed is now just a political shill like the FBI and CIA became.

Everything points to a rate cut. The average home today is purchased by 41-year-olds. That age used to be in the late 20s.

Slowly but surely, Trump will fix all this. Liberals crying and holding their mommy's leg. Losing over and over is crushing them.

Powell looked so weak, frail, and stupid this past week.

LOL, here's an example of someone with a child's understanding of economics and finance.

"Everything I disagree with is wrong" --tRump and his followers

Maybe the Fed knows something you don't?

"everything" does? how so? inflation is heading up. gdp is solid. labor market is still solid, albeit softening.
what exactly is "pointing to" that?

btw mortgages are related to the 10 year rate. the fed can only directly influence short term rates.

after the last rate cuts in 2024, long term rates went....UP. Because they are driven by different factors, like inflation expectations, growth forecasts, etc.

your post is silly right wing blather.

i love the irony of your post. You think the fed can make houses affordable again?

How is Trump going to make housing affordable again?

By having his supporters insult liberals on political forums and feign knowledge about economics and finance, that's how.

Europe and China are in the 2%-3 range -why are we an outlier? 1/4 point cut seemed very reasonable - we are in the 4% range

Trump isn't right and wasn't right.

Feel free to juggle orange balls if you want.

our economy is much different than chinas for example, they are worried about deflation, our prices if anything are heading up.

the EU's inflation is lower and more stable, ours is higher and increasing.

Sure, conservatives are so very concerned about Millenials and Gen Z buying houses. That must be why they had so many things in the Big Beautiful Bill helping first time home buyers...wait...in a trillion dollar + spending package with so much various things for specific groups there's nothing for home buyers? That's crazy!!!!! I can't believe they overlooked something that is so important!!!

In reality, Trump just want lower rates to goose the economy to offset his tariffs, the hell with any future inflation.

Sure. Trump might finally be right, this one time. Sure.

By raising the price of steel, aluminum, and copper.

Duh!
you forgot how he is raising the price of lumber too! he's a stable genius! and deporting workers! Its just crazy enough it might work!

It's definitely crazy enough. I think that's the extent of it because it won't accomplish anything.

You think that trend is created by high interest rates? On what basis?

Trump could fix it all by resigning.

oh its going to accomplish something..even though it will increase prices, at least it will decrease economic growth!
