From my daily search on Sea Level in the news:

What a wonderful example of right-wing wingnuttery - if a group of scientists have to adjust their data, the right-wingers assume that those scientists were actually faking it the entire time!

Yep! Every nation on the planet is fooled, too - 'cept for 'Murica, where only the American conservatives know the REAL truth, huh? 'Cause all the other nations, and the vast, overwhelming majority of the scientific community (and nearly the entire climatology community) agree on global warming...so that means that they all must be in on it! It's a VAST left-wing conspiracy including almost all the scientists and including every other nation on the planet...and only the 'Murican right wing stands between them and rampant socialism forcing Big Oil and Big Coal to kneel before socialism!!!!!

Good grief. This, people, is why conspiracy theories are seen as the province of the uneducated and the willfully ignorant.
 
I agree with Breitbart.com. Science isn't about revising or rechecking. The first thing you think is always the only thing to think, forever. That's why I'm using leeches to work out this headache.

So, first, your own article has to admit that there has in fact been a rise in the sea level even if it's not as big as what's been reporting. It also fully admits that there's nothing necessarily wrong with adjusting this data they just don't seem to fully understand why. In otherwords the sea levels are definately rising, and the scientists who study them seem to think it's even worse than their initial measurements indicate even though a bunch of science illerate skeptics don't seem to understand why.

Science is all about feelings. If by the end your findings don't jive with what you feel to be right, you're just not doing it right.

I think we can safely file this under Ignore.

Albert Parker (aka Alberto Boretti - what is it with deniers and pseudonyms?) and Clifford Ollier already have form for mathematical incompetence published in predatory journals. There's no particular reason to start taking them seriously now (unless, of course, you're so desperate to support your right-wing ideology that you'll believe anything).

Climate change people have been caught faking numbers before, they need to alarm people to stay employed. I don't see Miami, putting up retaining walls around the city, Obama is buying a house in Hi. I'm not worried.

LOL. That journal isn’t science either, and is regularly discredited.

The author is a retired automotive engineer, and has no experience in oceanography.

But the deniers will swallow it while anyway, while they dismiss the Royal Academy because they ‘don’t know science’.

The dogma that data adjustment is some sort of nefarious plot by scientists to deceive regular folk rather than a necessary step to extract meaning from data certainly seems to be a common right-wing delusion.

If you're an AGW denier who is keen to publish mathematically flawed propaganda, then yes, the existence of alternative journals with negligible peer review is fantastic. For science in general it's not so great.

I don't accept liberal sources that have been caught faking news. I know about the bias of sources such as CNN or the Washington Post. It's cute how you conservatives accept news sources such as Breitbart or Fox News which is really more conspiracy hatemongering and Trump fanboying than actual news while rejecting news sources that are known to be as objective as possible such as BBC or NYT.

I've looked at the PSMSL data
Data and Station Information for ADEN
and I don't find 3.02 mm/yr for Aden

But, if you go to NOAA

and click on Aden, Yemen



There it is: 3.02 mm/yr

It's not the PSMSL that has dinked with the data, it's NOAA.
