They were also designed to stand up on their own after falling. However, during the match several still had to be carried off the field on stretchers by staff, adding to the realism of the experience.

AI is good enough to play a soccer match but robotics are not yet.
 
Can't be any worse than the Chinese national team
 
The officiating was horrible. I see at least two red tags that should have been issued for brutal pushing. I see a few diving violations. The robots already have developed techniques for dirty playing.
 
Not AI.

It's just programming and sensors. The robots are not sentient. They're just obeying an algorithm. Simulated Intelligence would be a more honest term.
