Europeans are now talking about charting their own separate path, which will only weaken western alliances. Ukraine should not become a make-it-or-break-it issue for western solidarity.
A Europe that forms its own separate security bloc -- over backwater Ukraine, no less -- will be a Europe that increasingly deals with Australia's enemies.
