China has secured the helm in yet another area of sustainable energy, just as many other nations, which initially called for the fight against climate change, begin to fall behind in their commitments to the cause. How and what this will mean in regards to the future is yet to be seen. Though, such progress must be a welcome sight for those still on board in calling for a world of more sustainable energy.

Your thoughts?

The UK has been building massive offshore wind farms for decades now and we're just about to close our last coal fired power station.
Renewable energy is doing pretty well here.

It also leads in hydro and solar generation.

The only " green " energy that it currently does not lead in is nuclear.

It has shut down old coal heating and coal electric plants. Removed old diesel vehicles and gone heavy into ev production.

Being in the chemical industry I also know that China has shut down a lot of the more polluting chemical plants.

The region around Beijing ( Baoding) and the capital of Hebei province have vastly cleaner air now that 12 years ago
