It's embarrassing how our local MAGA keep repeating Donald's lie that China is "negotiating" when every single day there are announcements by China about trade deals struck with other nations so that they only further reduce their dependence on US products.

At least we know that China knows how to play Donald like the toddler that he is.

This is how it's done!

So American oil companies not only pay more for the Canadian crude they refine and sell on the world market but now a big part of that market is taken from them.
Frankly, I'm surprised the petro oligarchs have allowed it to come to this.

From the article:

To be clear, China’s appetite for Canadian crude began to grow when the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion known as TMX began funnelling Albertan oil to British Columbia’s Pacific coast in May.

I see that the majority of posters here are clearly Liberal supporters, yet they are doing everything they can to impede further development in the oil sector by dragging out approvals or setting the environmental so high that it can never be cleared.

So, Liberals, please pick a lane.

Liberals made twinning the TransMountain happen. In fact, Trudeau bought the pipeline to make sure it went through.
One of many things that turned me against him.

It sure is odd why China would decide to buy from a stable country that isn't starting a pointless trade war for no reason and decide to buy from one that isn't doing that.

Who'd have thunk it?

Well, obviously the Chinese.
