What implication? The FACT that those two events occured at appoximately the same time.

Look guys we have been warned from many sources that violence such as this could be entirly possible...Now that it possibly could have happened AGAIN me mentioning that there is a coiencidental FACT that the two events happened approx the same time is a big deal...
Run...run as fast as you can....
I've been paranoid for a while that the anti-government sentiment on the right is going to spill out into actual violence. I don't want to blame it on that, but can we at least agree that it is one possibility?

Something I'm still not clear on, is why would meth dealers write FED on him? Anyone have a good reason?
Also, how many people do you think it takes till it reflects on the movement?
I think it's a stupid theory. Sorry MH, but I do.
That is has anything to do with the 9/12 movement. Like people never hated or mistrusted gov't before.Which theory? And why?

There's a difference between considering it a possibility, and jumping to the immediate conclusion -- and then, as goldendog has done here, dismiss any other possibility out of hand. Except now he's saying he's implying nothing, except when he is.

There has been a legacy of illegal substance production and a corresponding loathing of fed interference in those hills that goes back a long ways.
The original settlers were very clannish Scotsmen with an independent streak and a mistrust of government, and their descendants still are clannish, still look out for one another, and have been producing substances ranging from alcohol to pot to meth in blatant disregard to government law for a long long while.
They don't want any government nosing around in their business up there in the hills, and anyone and everyone who works for the government who intrudes has been labeled either a revenuer or a fed for a long long time, this is nothing new.
But couldn't this backfire very easily and lead to a full scale war, with FTA sending in tons of agents to root it out? It just doesn't seem even remotely like a sound business move. And why would a census worker find something worth killing over? His job is generally to go to your door and ask basic demographic questions.
Wouldn't it be just as counter-productive for the right-wing zealot tea-baggers to attract the same kind of attention towards themselves?
I think you're giving the hill-dwelling, meth-farmers a little too much credit.

Who knows.. this is still just a hypothesis as to what happened, hard to tell what goes through anyone's mind, and whether or not they would have thought out any and all ramifications of their actipns or not.
It is a more plausible hypothesis than to think that this is some right versus left partisan issue. They don't care if there is a D or an R up there, its the government, it is all evil, and all unwelcome deep in the hill country.
What makes you think the pissed-off conservative theory is wrong?
A bit of familiarity with the mindset of the people in them thar hills.
So you don't think them thar hills would be full of "tea baggers" (your words not mine)
