Normally this would be simply entertainment news but this comes after Colbert made a series of jokes about his employer settling a lawsuit brought on by Trump.

Financial decision, is what you call it when you have no viewers so you make no money?

Good riddance to an unfunny man who sold out ages ago.

Financial decision = it costs money to live a broadcast license.

This topic is already covered:

My really good friend works on that show. Been working with Colbert since day one of Colbert Report.

It’s kind of a shock.

Colbert is really free to speak out now.

His audience will go to other later nighters to make 'em stronger.

If no one else picks him up out of fear Vegas may become his new hometown. Colbert will be making his own new future over the coming months into next year.

I record Colbert, Kimmel and Meyers every night and watch them the next day. Colbert is always the first one I watch. Not only is his the top-rated show, he was just nominated for an Emmy. He is 60 now so he may decide to pull a Jon Stewart. I hope not. I need more of both.

I record Colbert and Kimmel and also watch Colbert first.

I also record Fallen but find his opening monologue pretty lame.

Like what - Big Brother?
Is there anything good on ABC/CBS/NBC now? Other than sports (and even that is starting to go away). Been so long since I've watched anything on those networks. Would much rather watch Netflix, HBO, AppleTv+, etc.
