The judge's decision came after three men facing criminal charges in the state challenged her appointment, arguing that Habba's appointment last month as acting U.S. Attorney in the District of New Jersey violated the Federal Vacancies Reform Act.

Unbelievable.

If I'm interpreting this correctly, it seems Trump has possibly jeopardized all currently ongoing Federal cases in New Jersey? At the least, he's giving grounds for appeal.

Could I be right?

And dismiss all liberal cases.

Will be awesome where all her cases get tossed and criminals go free. Tough on crime.

From what I recall when Habba's appointment was discussed several weeks ago, yep, your interpretation is spot-on.

Judge Matthew Brann who made the ruling has stayed his order pending appeal.

This matter has many many miles left in its legs. I expect some pro bono Lawyer will, soon enough, be asking a Court to void the conviction of the client because of Habba's involvement.

Here's a heads up Team USA. You do realise, don't you, that you are discharging the legal fees Humpty incurred before Jan 20, yes? Emile Bove...nifty life time gig on an appeal court (despite many reasons why the bloke should not be anywhere near a Bench,) Todd Blanche....21C in the DOJ, up to his eyeballs in the Epstein scandal, and Habba, the completely inadeqaute botoxed boobed bimbo, the AG of New Jersey.

Be proud.

Fed judges need to start holding people in contempt when they violate court orders. It's pathetic how everyone's so afraid of this bozo. I can understand why the ordinary person is afraid, but these are people in power, with at least some authority - on paper at least.

Your tenure here may currently be short, but I believe you're going to go far! 🍻

(& you're an Indie, too. Even better!)

I believe the dearth of Contempt charges, is due to the judges' fear of non-response, showing they are powerless to enforce their orders.

Ya know, I completely misread that and concluded you were suggesting my being banned was imminent. Apologies, and thanks for the compliment.

What the administration should be doing is challenging the constitutionality of the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998. THere's a provision in there delegating the designation of a US Attorney to an Article III court! The judiciary has no role whatsoever in selecting officers of the United States, but that's how Habba's temporary replacement became the interim US Attorney. She wasn't confirmed by the Senate, or even nominated by the President. A court just picked a US Attorney.

WHAT?!
