Property, no, but I do consider that a parent is responsible for making decisions on behalf of their children and, unfortunately, they have a right to be wrong. They did not kill their children, but their faith told them that they were doing the right thing on behalf of those children. They were so committed to their faith that it happened again. No, I do not see them as a threat to society and I wouldn't want them babysitting anyone I loved, but how would jailing two grieving parents going to help society? Should they be able to adopt, no, we leave society to be the judge of who can and cannot adopt. Are you in favor of instituting some kind of test to be a parent? Sure, people joke about it but is that really the path we want to go down?
So you count inaction to be a reason for murder? I would not have done what they did and I suspect that you would not either, but do we really want to make inaction warrant a charge of murder?
Who's this "we" you are referring to?
I am up for sterilization of both parents if they don't want jail time. Yes, I guess it is sad that these infants died due to parental neglect, but less pollution to the gene pool and society comes from their parent's negligence. The people who really lost here are actually the parents, and I am cool with just preventing them from reproducing in the future. But if we want to toss them in jail or execute them I can get behind that too. Any thing at all to keep them from breeding.
No less vile than abortions carried out every day, every hour.
At least their intents were not equally vile as in the case of abortion, however.
So throw em in the clink for murder, right after ever abortion doctor and woman who has had one.
One is legal, the other is not. Do try again.
"Having children does not give you the right to dispose of them as you see fit"
Yet we do it all the time. PP did over 300,000 abortions in 2011.

Oh, is it illegal to believe in spiritual/faith based healing? Do try again.
No, but it is illegal to deny your child adequate medical care in the belief that a supernatural being is going to do the job.
Yet, we go out of our way to mitigate the acts of the religious Islamic terrorist...
Show me the criminal statute that requires parents to turn over their children to hospitals for care.

They have 7 other children. It did. Those children will not pass on the stupid gene.
No, it's illegal not to provide medical treatment for your children. It's just f'ing stupid to believe in spiritual/faith based healing.
I'm all for a bullet in the back of the head. People this stupid and gullible shouldn't breed and if they do and kill their kids, they have no business breathing the same air as decent folks.
Epic Fail.

They have 7 other children.
And of course your assumptions are absolutely ridiculous.Let's hope none of them get any of the usual childhood ailments that, if left untreated, could kill them. If it happens, however, I'm sure there are those on this forum that would rush to the defense of their 'religious freedom'.
These folks are about to find out about statutes regarding 'criminal negligence', 'negligent homicide', and 'depraved indifference'. I continue to be amused at the spirited defense put forward for people who allowed their second child to die because of their archaic and dangerous beliefs.
