Title says it all. After the last upgrade, I can no longer see most emojis... just empty boxes or black-white face w/o expression. I suspect I was supposed to update something on my computer, but don't know what and don't know how because I am technologically illiterate. Can anyone take pity and give me a clue?
Saw all but the last one, which is just two boxes. My browser is Chrome.Testing:
Maybe it's your computer or browser?
I use Chrome too. Refresh your browser and make sure you allow this app fully through your firewall. I've had firewall issues too I never asked for.Title says it all. What upgrade are you referring to specifically? Like a windows update? After the last upgrade
How do I refresh my browser? Yes, I know, I'm a sad case.I use Chrome too. Refresh your browser and make sure you allow this app fully through your firewall. I've had firewall issues too I never asked for.
No, it was a DP Forum upgrade several weeks ago. I hoped my problem would just go away. It didn't.What upgrade are you referring to specifically? Like a windows update?
It could be either. Either her windows version could not support that version of emojis or the browser.Maybe it's your computer or browser?

Fear not. I do programming for my civilian job and have some idea where the problem could be.No, it was a DP Forum upgrade several weeks ago. I hoped my problem would just go away. It didn't.
It's OK. Google "refresh my chrome browser " and follow the directions. How do I refresh my browser? Yes, I know, I'm a sad case.
I got nothing on the 14.0 test. The 13.0 test worked. It could be either. Either her windows version could not support that version of emojis or the browser.

Can you run the first two little tests on this website? It will let me know what kind of support you have for different emoji versions.
The struggle of using native emoji on the web
Emoji are a standard overseen by the Unicode Consortium. The web is a standard governed by bodies such as the W3C, WHATWG, and TC39. Both emoji and the web are ubiquitous. So you might be forgiven …nolanlawson.com
Assuming you are using chrome, check if there is a chrome update. If there is it will appear in the top right corner of the screen.I got nothing on the 14.0 test. The 13.0 test worked.

OK, if this is the case, google "upgrade my chrome to 10" . If your laptop/computer/tablet is capable of the upgrade, it should work. If not do what I do. Take it to BestBuy Geek Squad and tlet them do it.!Maybe my problem is that I'm still using Windows 7.It won't let me update/upgrade until I get Windows 10.
oop, well yeah that's it. Browsers control which emojis sets you can see and it looks like your version of Chrome only supports up to v13.0 emojis but not anything past that (we are on version 14-15 now) which is why you can see some but not all of them.I tried it, but it tells me I need Windows 10.
I hate it when technology moves faster than I do!
JESUS!!Maybe my problem is that I'm still using Windows 7.It won't let me update/upgrade until I get Windows 10.
JESUS!!
Win 10 came out EIGHT YEARS AGO!!!

LOL!!

Upgrade to Windows 10. I did it last year and it was really painless.
