I don't have much of anything to add to this, but I am subscribing to the thread just because I'd like to see a few answers.
Remember, y'all - he's supposed to be beautiful. That kind of leaves Obama out.

Gawd.. in this day and age too.
Me too.opcorn2:
The abomination of desolation (also found in the link above to the 11th chapter of the Book of Daniel — verse 31) has not yet occurred. That's one of the reasons some of us Christians talk about the figure "in this day and age".
The abomination of desolation
I thought that no one is supposed to know who the anti-christ is?
Superfly said:Well, from my readings, you won't know who he is. It will be revealed at a later time. I think what Shart is doing is getting ideas of who you think it might be - if the antichrist has even been born. It's possible that he has not even been born yet.

I'm pretty sure that's an exegetical mistranslation, guy.
Am not dissing you, as it could be the truth, but all I've read seems to indicate that its a reference to The Passover of Moses' day, when the Hebrews were enslaved to the Egyptians.
It is a controversial point, I agree.
On the other hand, for everything that God has, Satan (and presumably his antichrist) has a counterfeit. God is a Trinity, the devil has his trinity (Satan, antichrist, and false prophet). God has his throne, and Satan has his. God's prophets vs. devil's false prophets, God's angels vs. Satan's demons. Godly marriage and (well, you guess what that would be).
Well said.
And whom does Satan hate the most — what people?
Me, I'm thinking that if a highly charismatic figure arises anywhere — the United States, the Middle East, Scandinavia, etc. — who openly advocates a policy of killing the firstborn son of every Jewish home, look out.
That rules out Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is charismatic only among his own people — not the international community, yes?
Beautiful huh?I don't have much of anything to add to this, but I am subscribing to the thread just because I'd like to see a few answers.
