BRICS has been "just getting started" for ten years now.
They didn't have sufficient motivation to begin inter-BRICS trading. The massive sanctions against Russia was the wakeup call. Global tariffs and the threat of secondary sanctions - something even Biden didn't do - is only going to accelerate that push. BRICS members and partners have a collective GDP that massively dwarfs the US. It doesn't dwarf the G7, but again, one bloc is punishing its alliance by blanketly raising tariffs on them, and the other is encouraging more countries to join. How do you think this ends, especially when you consider the US has $38 trillion in debt and many of its allied members have similar debt-GDP ratios but not a lot of access to raw materials...that are found in "shithole countries"?
Do the math and tell me how you think it ends?
