Canada to Drop Many Retaliatory Tariffs in Olive Branch to Trump

For sure. Which is why no one with an iq above room temperature gets worked up about Trump's stupid tariff claims.

Don't even remember them. Why would anyone; we knew that chicken would go bad.

Trump might be an honorary Canadian with the way he flip flops on trade.
Naaah! Trump’s quintessentially American through and through. He’s a typical representative of the species.

Of some Americans. Even among NYers he's that douchebag type most of us intensely dislike; the born into money obnoxious East Siders.
;)

Maybe he just poses as Canadian by flip flopping so much.

He'll never actually fit in, and Canada will continue to chicken out over and over again, just to show Trump how it's really done.

This is why...from the article.

"The move is also meant to prepare the ground for the review of the USMCA, which is expected to begin in the coming months."

and this part

"The government is changing its tariff policy to align more closely with US measures."

Except it has not been Canada flip flopping like a netted trout. That has been your retarded King TACO on again - off again with, not just tariffs but every single issue he platformed his election on.

Got the healthcare sorted yet? How about the wars he would end day one? Lower grocery prices; ha, you twinkies can’t even afford tomato’s.

Your stock market has reflected his highness’s flippity floppity act most accurately even the idiots among you cannot deny.

The uproarious laughter you hear coming at you from all points of the globe isn’t directed at Canada.

America is, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, the whining toddler with a full diaper that has tossed its soother into the dog’s water dish causing the whole household to giggle at it’s self imposed resultant whinefest.

This laugh's on those who believed Canada's retaliatory tariffs were going to cripple America's economy.
Canada bows to Trump. Irony is ironic. 🤣

Okay, who started this trade war, Canada or the US?

What exactly is Canada supposed to do, as a middle power that has had its economy integrated with the US for decades? Especially when Trump and his acolytes state that Canada should offshore its manufacturing sector to the US?

It seems like Trump supporters take sadistic glee at the thought of throwing blue-collar Canadians out of work.

You're right. Trump did, but what does that have to do with my point?

I don't think so, and again, you missed the point.

"The government is changing its tariff policy to align more closely with US measures."

And all this time, posters led us to believe that Canada didn't need us, and reminding us how much our economy was going to suffer. As you wrote, since the Canadian government is changing its tariff policy to align more closely with US measures then Trump's strategy was effective and not done in vain.

What is your point exactly? I don't see a lot of actual coherent points from the Trump supporters on this thread, just a lot of cackling about Trump trying to force Canada into a recession, for no good reason. Again, Canada didn't pick this battle; we are trying to do different things to get ourselves out of a situation imposed on us by the US. It's not like we chose to be in this situation.

Your rebuttal had nothing to do with what I initially wrote.

Carry on............

Looks like your initial post is cackling about Trump attempting to put Canada in a rough spot. Trump supporters seem to want to act like villains and then want to be treated like heroes.
