Canada saved a seat for Americans

I love my country, but I have always been enchanted with living in Canada. God, it is just beautiful. They don't want my family, though, we have a permanently disabled son and my husband and I are closer to retirement than starting out.

Did you watch the second video?

Oh Canada. Extremely high cost of living on top of sky-high taxes, no free speech, horseshit healthcare system getting worse with each passing year, California-level regulation and bureaucracy, no constitutional right to self-defense.

I'd rather live in Mexico with the drug cartels.

Meh. True of a lot of us here too. The difference is when countries like Canada pay taxes, they get something in return.

no free speech,

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

horseshit healthcare system getting worse with each passing year,

Ours is great, though. Pay through the nose in order to have to wait to see your PCP, who can then try to pre-approve you for a medication or send you to a specialist, both of which take yet more time, and after that you have your procedure done and still owe a hefty sum.

California-level regulation and bureaucracy,

Regulation just sucks, doesn't it? I say we all live in buildings that are about to fall down on us and kill us and drink sewer water and breathe poison because industry just can't stand the regulations. That'll show the rest of the world!

no constitutional right to self-defense.

Ohhh noooooooooooooooooooooo, no gun-hugging approved for everyone down to the homicidally mentally ill?

I'd rather live in Mexico with the drug cartels.

Bye.

Canada rank higher than the USA, both than it comes to democracy, happiness and a good business environment.

While Trump and otherd to the right wants to turn the USA into autocratic and corrupt Hungary.

I agree we are going down the same path, and that many blue states are already there. Hence the exodus of productive people and businesses from them.

People are literally arrested in Canada for mean facebook posts.

Ours is great, though.

Nope, ours is terrible too. Both systems have something in common, can you guess what it is?

Regulation just sucks, doesn't it?

It sure does. Having politicians control production is just socialism-lite.

Plus it's great for criminals, who don't have to worry about getting shot when they rob or rape somebody.

It's so wonderful that they have to offer moving bonuses and other financial incentives to get people to move there.

Oh Canada. Extremely high cost of living

Cost of living:
US 17
Canada 26

on top of sky-high taxes

Income tax:
16% - 53%
Canada 19% - 58%

no free speech,

horseshit healthcare system getting worse with each passing year

Best healthcare:
US #16
Canada #4

There's a lot of good to be said about Canada but the cost of living makes it untenable. I live less than an hour from the Canadian border. Jobs in Canada pay, at best, the same as my current job but houses are at least twice the price.

Like any country, regions differ in price.
Average price in Canada: $688,700 CAD. ($497,058 USD)
Average price in USA: $443,471 USD

Yeah, can't find one reason I'd move to Canada, and especially after reading forum posts from her haters.

Seems like one would be likely to meet a lot of Canadians who don't want you there. The far right is doing damage to how other countries look at Americans.
