One, it tells me that you don't know history and that Terrorists have had a far easier means than the Rio Grande from which to infiltrate so far.

And you forget about the LAX bomber who was arrested coming in from Canada.

I don't know history? And terrorists having easier pathways than the Mexican border was exactly my point. So, what are you talking about?

Maybe so, get back with me in thirty years and tell me how it works out.

Very defeatist. Do you have locks on your doors?
Welcome to reality. Its like the gun control argument, when saying "if criminals want guns they will get them no matter what". Hear the right wing use it all the time.

You sound pretty confident shrub that you will out live me.

I really don't want to outlive anyone, but my great-grandmother on my father's side lived to 105 and I'm 71 now, so I figure that I might have 34 more years if I'm mighty lucky.

Never happen.

The avenues are a part of east la, they often name themselves after the avenues they live and operate around. Not good guys.

Do you have locks on your homes doors? People can get in other ways, so why bother? :doh

Didn't intend to imply that Canada's border is not also an issue, but its more controlled, and Canada itself has some capacity to regulate who enters it. Certainly thats an issue as well.

edit-didn't realize it was 6 times the length of Mexico's.

Flooding the nation with socialist-friendly masses to strain our system, while encouraging a portal of entry for terrorists seems like 2 birds with one stone, eh?

Well there is no evidence: Pentagon: No evidence of ISIS at border | TheHill

Also why are American terrorists excluded from this question?

Our intelligence is notoriously late to the game. The door is still wide open.

And another thing-by having less to worry about at the borders, our federal law enforcement could spend more time dealing with terror threats.

Lots of reasons anyone and their grandma shouldn't be able to walk in here as they please-but this is certainly good enough.

I think there's a better question, Paschendale.

Conservative and Lakeside - Have either of you been outside of the country recently? Or gone through US customs with a non-American?

Nobody has ever broken into my home or stolen my car. Therefore I should not lock the doors.
How are you so sure that does not "actually happen"?
If you have, I don't think it needs explaining. If not -

... because (1) I've been through US customs at airports many times with non-Americans and it's a cinch and (2) getting through Americans customs is infinitely safer, faster, easier and more comfortable for literally everyone in the world than it is crossing a inhospitable desert for multiple days on foot; all while being dehydrated, exhausted and playing tag with a gun-toting militia.

Awhhh gone straight conspiratard mode I see.

Ahhh you see you are the one saying something and yet there is no proof of this. Pretty much your argument is focused around a giant "coulda"

Its not hard to think of examples of our intelligence dropping the ball. Or is this more "conspiracy" to you?

So again you have no evidence. Still just a giant "coulda".

(chuckle)

The "I can't refute but I have to be right" throw away line.

:raises eyebrow:

The heroin trade funds the Taliban / AQ / Haqqani, and they aren't called Narco-Terrorists for nothing.

If a terrorist wants to get in here it's not going to matter whether or not we have a fence up.

Is that what Israel has found?
