Indian casinos are the ****. They're much cleaner than the ones in Vegas and don't have as much competition. Those guys do pretty well, to say the least.

They can get ahead if they want to. Just like everyone else in America you have to actually work for what you want instead of waiting for an eternity for everyone to give you what you want.

I'm suggesting neither are important. If it takes a person becoming president for a collective people to "have their day" then they have more problems than any political office will offer them.

Seriously, though, we took everything they had. Then we sent most of them to the ****tiest place on the continent (Oklahoma). Then we decided that was no longer viable and took most of that.
We, as in US soldiers, massacred hundreds of Native Americans in several different instances. America is founded on their blood, taken by a racist society which had the goal of eradication.
I vote for Wilma Mankiller for president. She is the former chief of the Cherokee Nation. Her husband Charlie Lee Soap would also make an excellent first man.
Why don't all the reservations pool the casino profits and divide them equally among all band members?
It sucks for some reservations to be in the boonies and not be able to incorporate casino's successfully.

Actually early immigrants and people moving west were trying to peacefully relocate when the indians kept attacking them and the first indian killings were in self defense but usually the group of travelers or homesteaders got slaughtered.. Finally the growing populations of whites were organized and strong enough to address this issue in greater force and it just kept escelating.
Actually some of the earliest immigrants couldn't support themselves during the harsh winter and resorted to stealing from the Indians. Indian raids were trumped up to inspire hatred and promote the racist society that came to be. I hope you see how ridiculous it is to say the Native Americans are where they are now because of our "self-defense".
