Private citizens can now sue anyone who distributes assault weapons, ghost guns etc
This mimics what Texas did. Has to be legal, right?
Hopefully we can get some of the problematic guns off the street.
 
Let’s hope other states follow suit. It’s time for a different strategy to get inappropriate guns off the street. There is no compromise being offered from the far right gun lobby. So I say let’s hit them where it hurts: in the wallet.

So the concept of giving citizens the right to sue to accomplish things the law wouldn't allow the government to do was abhorrent when it was applied to abortions in Texas (and it was), but just the thing when applied to gun owners in CA.

If it weren't for double standards you people would have no standards at all.

However the BOR doesn’t specify that you may own a machine gun or a Gatling gun, does it. There is no right in the constitution anywhere that confers a right to a specific kind of gun.

It confers the right to all bearable arms in common use for lawful purposes.
