Not surprisingly, Californians who don't pay taxes tend to stay here.
You should have stayed in school.OK. You should start paying your taxes.
Maybe we should stop sending some of our tax revenues to red states that refuse to pay for their expenses?CA has been living in a La-la land of infinite tax revenue. That's quickly coming to an end. We'll see what happens but there's no arguing against the simple math of spending more than you make.
Nah.
Nah.
The poster posted a cheap, knee-jerk ad hominem. So I threw one back.
And here you're trying to sustain the original ad-hom.
You said the people that live in Cali dont pay their taxes.
You live in Cali.
Soooo.........
We're seeing a lot of this form of vapid response (cartoon/meme copy/paste) on DP forum - - much more so lately than in the past. It reveals a fundamentally flawed position with the person who posts the cartoon.Poor sensitive poster.

It is posted in response to a whine, when there is no reason for a 'legitimate' response. Iow, when a poster doesn't have a legitimate post to respond to...I never said "the people that live in Cali dont pay their taxes." You made that shit up. You have remarkably poor comprehension.

Presumably, if you had a rational argument, then you would make it. But instead of an actual argument, you post this silly nonsense.
Serious question: Do you think your silly cartoon makes me look foolish, or do you think it makes you look foolish?
But the whine triggered you.It is posted in response to a whine, when there is no reason for a 'legitimate' response. Iow, when a poster doesn't have a legitimate post to respond to...
Serious answer...ran out of ****s to give.
Whines trigger me? You're gonna need a source for that one. By the way, your final comment is not a quote, it's a flame. But the whine triggered you.
A sensible person would ignore it. A triggered person gets butthurt and is compelled to post silly cartoons and memes in lieu of an actual argument.
Should I post a silly "triggered" meme cartoon as an attack on you?
There's an old saying "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."
Whines trigger me? You're gonna need a source for that one. By the way, your final comment is not a quote, it's a flame.
Why would I do that when you try to act smarter than anyone else and your first sentence here disproves that notion? Here you go: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." - Maurice Switzer
You're frustrated because you cannot formulate a sensible argument, instead you post silly cartoons and images to express your contempt. You know what a complete failure Governor Newsom is, with his idiotic wealth-redistribution policies and reckless spending. You know that there is no rational defense for Newsom, so you (and others) post dumb images and cartoons which you think make me look foolish.
Only they don't. Your silly cartoons/memes only make YOU look foolish.
If you want to appear intelligent, then stop taking cheap petty swipes at me, and discuss the TOPIC, which is the wild deficit spending spree of governor Newsom, that has brought California to its knees.
. . . enough of the childish cartoons and memes.
Out of money? Really?Since Switzer was born after both Twain and Lincoln (as well as the Bible verse some claim it was derived from), Switzer is out of the money. Just as your last claim?
It's an expression.CA is on it's knee's? Laughable (especially since you are so wrapped up in 'appearance' of intelligence).
Nah. That's an expression - it wasn't meant literally. I shouldn't need to explain that, but whatever . . .And CA's economy is on it's knees? You're gonna have to try harder than that.
Governor Newsom is a failed governor. His over-taxing and over-spending policies have put California in the red. (in the red means that California spends more than it receives in revenues)."Nationally, GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is widely regarded as the foremost blue-chip barometer for tracking and calibrating the economic performance of the economy nationwide. Like its closely followed national counterpart, the GDP of the state of California is the most comprehensive measure of output of all goods and services produced by labor and property located within California. It is a market valuation of the goods and services-both private and public-produced within a state economy"
Out of the money in the same way you might say 'off the medal stand'. 4th best answer.Out of money? Really?
It's an expression.

Governor Newsom is a failed governor. His over-taxing and over-spending policies have put California in the red. (in the red means that California spends more than it receives in revenues).
Newsom knows that the tax base is dwindling, because many Californians are fleeing to states with lower taxes. The responsible thing for a leader to would be to cut spending - proportional to the loss in revenues. That would be logical/rational response.
But dipshit Newsom likes to spend other people's money, so he RAISED taxes even higher, which naturally causes even MORE people to flee the state, resulting in even LESS tax revenues. It's a vicious cycle of overtaxation and deficit spending. California's deficit crisis will continue to worsen until Newsoms term expires and we finally get a competent governor.
Governor Newsom is a failed leader, and voters should expect that he would perform just as poorly as president.
What do you see as the purpose of taxes?
That's a good one!
I spewed coffee all over the screen when I read that.
That's a good one!
Scared shit-less Republicans continue to campaign against a possible nominee newsom.
Probably should be in the "West" forum, not the "Southwest".California is facing a projected record deficit of $73 billion - a huge increase over previous deficits.
“The actual increase in the state’s budget problem will depend on a number of factors, including formula-driven spending changes, most notably Proposition 98 spending requirements for schools and community colleges,” per California Legislative Analyst’s Office.
California’s population has been declining, with many residents fleeing to lower-tax states like Texas, Arizona, Florida, and Washington.
We tried to recall Governor Newsom in 2021 (I was a volunteer petitioner for that action) for his incompetence, alas that failed, and Californians are stuck with Newsom's deficit spending and bad policies, and the deficits will continue to increase as more and more taxpayers flee the state, and tax revenues drop.
Not surprisingly, Californians who don't pay taxes tend to stay here.
Wrong. Cailfornia is considered to be the southwest.Probably should be in the "West" forum, not the "Southwest".
source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwestern_United_Statesthe Southwest, is a geographic and cultural region of the United States that includes Arizona and New Mexico, along with adjacent portions of California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.
Newsom signs the wasteful deficit-spending policies that come out of Sacramento. Not that Newsome isn't a contributor to the problem, but doesn't the legislature set the budget?
