No one knows what the **** is going to happen or how much danger we're really in. We're playing with fire and governments are erring on the side of caution. Who can blame them.
 
For all those claiming China's claimed number of deaths is accurate, this is one the least lethal flu-like virus to go thru the human race and overwhelmingly less lethal than the common flu.

But, wow, has a couple trillion dollars been made off this just out of the stock market so far. So it's not like EVERYONE is losing out of it.

This already is the greatest theft of wealth by the super rich internationalists in the history of the USA and modern world.
 

You have no authority or basis whatsoever to be making claims about the lethality of CoVid-19 versus the many, many different varieties and strains of influenza. There's no clear consensus yet on how deadly it is because we don't have all the data. No one has a clear answer. Certainly not you.

Oh, and you know nothing about the stock market either. No one made trillions of dollars.
 

How, exactly, is increasing annual federal spending by almost 50% erring on the side of caution? It seems to me that is tossing caution to the wind and pumping out borrowed money in every conceivable (some not even remotely justified) direction just so that elected morons can claim to have "acted immediately" and in "historic, bipartisan fashion".
 

Your's a foolish message indicating you don't grasp simple math nor how the stock market works. Even the most simple minded understand if you buy low and sell high you make a profit. You think the stock market is just putting money into a 401K and then watch its value somehow just magically grow over time. The stock market at one level is a ponzi scheme exactly hoping people like you to get into it.

On Tuesday the Dow Jones increased 2,100 points - largest increase in 80 years - and you claim no one made a dollar out of it. That is how foolish your message is.

I was actually talking about the lockdown measures to inhibit the spread of coronavirus, not the financial relief bill.

Personally, I would have structured the bailout differently. But that's Congress for you.

In times of crisis, I prefer executive action to republicanism.

Fascists didn’t shut down their economies or stop people from going outside (or to church) . . .

It’s more akin to communism, albeit more extreme than historical communist policies.

I just read the article, and saw nothing of the sort. In fact, he is claiming that the U.K. has changed their strategy to react to his study and that should allow them to battle the virus with adequate resources.

You have a very limited view on the capabilities of government then: they can do a lot more than that.

But sometimes heavy handed action is indeed warranted.
