My Way News - APNewsBreak: Effort building to change US pot laws

An effort is building in Congress to change U.S. marijuana laws, including moves to legalize the industrial production of hemp and establish a hefty federal pot tax.

So....no big surprise that something like this is being proposed but isn't somewhat ironic that while congress is working overtime to severely regulate something that is currently legal (guns) it is also working to deregulate something that is currently illegal.....and putting the same agency in charge of both?

Don't need anymore killers on the road? Stop issuing new drivers licenses.

Speaking of that I just got mine back. It was a long 4 months and I had to go to AA.

Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms should be a convenience store.

I prefer the Fallout version: Bureau of Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco, Firearms and Lasers.

Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms should be a convenience store.

this one convenience store I used to frequent in Thailand kept their professional grade fireworks right next to the whiskey. Seemed to always lead to a few impulse purchases and a crazy night

Well there ya go, you get liberty and Natural Selection all in one store...

I hope the "hefty pot tax" would apply to recreational weed and not industrial hemp, which cannot be used/abused to get high.
